Nice location but no value for money

rooms are really average and small, the overall quality of the hotel is a bit dated and for the very high prices (accommodation, meals and beverages) especially over the weekend, youw ould expect far more better

go to the restaurant, kelong, and have lobster. it's really good.

nice hotel with a great beach

Its a nice hotel with a very attentive staff. They were all very nice. I felt it was a little over priced and not necessarily 5 stars but overall it was a very enjoyable stay. The beach is great. The breakfast buffet was very nice with lots of food.

NIce hotel with good service

The pool is fantastic except that it was raining during my stay. The room was clean and spacious.
It was nice to chill at the beach restaurant, but note to apply insect repellent as we got quite a bit of bites!

Wouldn't say it's 5 star, and it certainly could do with some renovations and smartening up, but it has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away.
Hotel Feature Tip:
It's NOT typically Indonesian prices. Everything is charged in USD and it's NOT cheap. A can of coke is close to USD7.

Lovely beach and rooms, poor breakfast offering

We enjoyed the beach and room. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, food was rather disappointing. Very limited selection for buffet breakfast, apart from some uninteresting western offerings. If you're thinking of sampling a variety of local dishes or breakfast, you'll be disappointed. Buffet dinner was poor too, they charge quite a lot, but offer nothing much in variety. Not what we are used to when we visit other SE Asia countries like Malaysia, thailand or Singapore. We don't mind paying more for interesting and tasty food selections that offer a wider variety. This was our 3rd visit to this hotel. Nothing much has changed in the food department despite our previous feedback. We are not likely to return.

Great for weekend with family

Stayed for two nights in August 2012. Had a pleasant time. Beach was nice and quiet, wasn't crowded at all. Some parts of the building seemed slightly old but not a major problem.

Pleasant hotel but no 5-star value

rooms were decent but a little on the dull side on definitely not 5-star value. location was exclusive with a private beach shared with neighbouring banyan tree. beach was clean and decent, with a range of water sports available at reasonable prices. swimming pool was lovely with cabana beds scattered around, loved the jacuzzi jets at the corner. massage here was also pretty good but prices on the high side. the resort provides free shuttle to and fro the jetty, and the trip is only 10 mins away.
Restaurant Tip:
Go to Banyan Tree for a nice meal. They have a few great restaurants and transport can be easily arranged for free at Angsana.
