Many things to do, but you had to pay for all of them.
Nice place to see, but I wouldn't stay there again.
Shopping Tip:
The pasar oleh oleh village is a bit of a tourist trap.
If you want more local shopping go into the city, if you just want some overpriced souvenirs then the village will work fine for you.

our overall stay in nirwana was good. although the room is not so good compare to the one we've stayed last time but i can say that the resort itself was good especially the infinity pool.very relaxing.the beach also is ok.not dirty.it is very private. the rin japanese restaurant is serving a very nice bento set with an affordable price. the view from the restaurant also is good.can do a lot of activities in the resort. the breaffast has a lot of varieties. there's is one restaurant named makan-makan near the activity center wherein the price of the food is very affordable but we only tried the ramen there.

The hotel gave us a complimentary anniv cake upon our arrival in the room. The room, especially the bathroom is clean. That's the MOST important for us.

the facilities are a bit old and worn out. besides that, the resort provide basically what you need, beach, swimming pool, water sports, massage and various activities at resort centre. staff are really helpful which made our stay valuable.
Hotel Feature Tip:
spend more time outside the hotel at the beach or resort centre in daytime. better stick to hotel at night for dinner and massage as it was too dark and difficult to travel to other resort facilities, unless you wait for shuttle which only operates every 30 mins!!

Cost for a deluxe room is a bit too high compare to other country's 4 star hotels.
Restaurant Tip:
Take shutter bus to reach the famious Kelong seafood restaurant to view sunset at 6pm and have dinner with your loved one.

A nice & family friendly resort!
Recreational activities are very near the resort hotel.

the room is clean & nice although the room we booked is superior type. the room view is very nice & quiet & facing a pond. however, there are some other room types are better with a balcony or facing to the pool or sea. there are some attractive recreational activities are suitable for the kids mainly from 5 or above which my elder kid enjoyed very much. also, there is a kids' club where offers baby sitting services with different activities for the children aged from 3 or above. in addition, elephants ride is available throughout the week & all these activities are very close to the hotel & it's within walking distance!
Restaurant Tip:
The food in menu is not cheap at all. You may prepare & bring some groceries before you come to bintan island as there is no big grocery store near by & just a very small convenient store at the hotel & the items are very pricy!

The room quality was below expectation and nothing like the pictures on Agoda. It seems the pictures are from the first day of opening and the rooms have not been maintained since. Make sure you confirm the cost for extra bedding before you arrive (even if added as an optional extra). Prices for food, drink and activities are comparable to Singapore and it costs to do everything. Water activities were good, Chinese and Indian restaurants were excellent. Overall there is enough to keep you entertained for a long weekend without leaving the resort.
