great location, but different from pics online.
Breakfast buffet was delicious.
6.3
the location is great, since it is right in front of the beach, but our room was too far from the lobby and inconvinient. to get there took about a 7min. walk. also, the shower curtains were moldy and dirty, which gave our room a bad influence. overall, the atmosphere was nice and resort-like, so i'd say 3 out of 5.
Restaurant Tip:
Banana pancakes were delicious!!

Not too bad resort
Modern, greatly developed resort, Nice pool
6
checked in 9am, was told there will be a standard room with a king size bed. as earliest check in is at 3pm, was told to return to reception at 1pm. returned and room was not really although i do see a lot of other rooms keys begin prepared. finally went back at around 3pm, but was told no king size bed. was upgraded to a deluxe room, but not after much frustration.
the swimming pool was huge and was the highlight of my stay.
resort came with other facilities, both in door and out door.
f&b wise, the buffet lunch at coffee shop was not of value, too expensive. dinner was at kelong, slightly more expensive but compare to lunch, this was well spent.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Do venture out to Resort Center, the food there is much cheaper.

Hotel with very high price food for its quality.
Nice pool area with the beach nearby, good air conditioner in room
6
The downside of this hotel has got to be the costs of food. 6 sticks of chicken satay, a few cubes of rice cake and some cucumber and onions with satay sauce as starter costs S$9. A pint of tiger beer costs S$12, a young coconut juice costs S$7.Nasi Lemak with a chicken wing and ikan bills costs S$15.
Main course price is S$15-28.
On top of that, you have service charge and tax.
The quality of food was poor value for money.
Breakfast was uninspiring, it's the same items every morning.
Convenience shop at hotel sells instant bowl of noodles from $3.50-4.50, a can of soft drink costs $2.
This was my first trip to Bintan and I will not be going back again.
If you think you are saving money by going on a short trip, think twice. The money we spent on food could have bought us a trip to Bali or Phuket.
Shopping Tip:
Do not go to Paser Oleh Oleh, there is nothing much to buy and see except for a few shops selling prawn crackers and souvenir stores. Food there is just as expensive as hotel and quality if not worse.

Scenic
Beautiful beach and pool, good service from the hotel staff
7
The beach was beautiful but beware of the tar on the beach.
Not able to see them doesn't mean that there isn't tar on the beach and this happens seasonally. If you do get tar on your slippers you can get some diesel from the reception to remove them. Otherwise, the beach was almost perfect.
We picked a deluxe room, sea facing. The bed was quite old and creaky (time to replace). Amenities were basic and nothing luxurious about the room.
To dine within the resort was costly. The Indonesian food generally was probably the best choice for dining; breakfast wise, go local!
Travel tip:
Take a trip to pasar oleh oleh but take a 5 min walk to where the local grocery stores are located. Bring some rupiah with you.

Lovely hotel with nice swimming pool
Swimming pool, mini zoo, nice breakfast buffet and free wi-fi
9.3
we had an enjoyable stay at nirwana hotel. being a weekday, the hotel was not crowded and offered a quiet and peaceful environment which we were looking for. my kids enjoyed a great deal in the swimming pool and the mini zoo. the breakfast buffet has sufficient variety which my kids and my mum enjoyed very much tooo. cheaper dinner options were available at resort centre which was 10 mins walk from main entrance. there was a shuttle bus to resort centre and kelong restaurant if u want to save the walk. the beach looked clean but there were black dark oily stain on our feet when we stood in the sea water.
Restaurant Tip:
Tom Yam at Makan-Makan (Resort Centre) was cheap and delicious .

Great location with approachable service
7.7
i was impressed with the approachable service esp the manager ban ban ( i think this is the spelling). i must say he is very flexible even there was no connecting room for us and offer to let us stay in a villa of 3 bedroom for the 3 families and gave us 3 free b/f for the kids.
thumbs up for their service. i will strongly recommend to my friends/relative to nirawana resort.
f&b were great and delicious!!
