Lovely renovated room Beautifully kept surrounding gardens/grass Hubby loved the golf courses

The beach bar was under construction. Really terrible over priced pizza from their italian restaurant - it was so tasteless we couldn't eat it.

It was easy from the moment we left the ferry - a lagoon resort bus was waiting to transport us to the hotel - very quick and easy. We booked a deluxe sea-view room, but very quickly realised that it would be much nicer on the bottom floor with the deck chairs stretching on to the surrounding grassy area (which is the deluxe garden-view room). The garden view room is cheaper and is much nicer in our opinion. The inside is exactly the same but you also have deck lounges and you can see more of the sea from this room than from the sea-view room! So we didn't understand this at all. We simply requested to move to a garden-view room even though we had paid for the sea-view room. Other than this staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast was good, pool was nice. We rented bikes and rode the designated 'bike track' they have which is pretty dismal so we took the bikes out on to the road which passed by the golf courses, which was pleasant. Overall a very pleasant stay, food and drinks were quite expensive, especially for Indonesia, but this was at a resort on Bintan, so what can you expect?

Nightlife Tip : Ask for the house-pour spirits, they're half the price of normal pours, so it's great if you're wanting a boozy night.

Good Room, Clean and I like the idea of having a raised floor in the room. The bathroom are very clean and looks new.

The room safe is not usable

The nearest shoopping area is at Lagoi and the Pasar Oleh Oleh. We were inform that the shops at Pasar Oleh Oleh do actually provide pick up and return transportation free of charge if u either go for a massage or eat are their restaurant. But unfortunately for Bintan Lagoon Resort, they are not allowed to do pick up for whatever reason the resort doesn't allow them to enter. So we have to get a private taxi to go to Pasar Oleh Oleh by ourselves which cost us SGD 22.

Great pools for kids ,close to Singapore for weekend getaway

Isolated with no real access to Indonesian life ,wine expensive at 100 + SGD for 20 dollar bottles?? They seem to have ongoing problems with toilet blockages ,air con ,showers etc ...why else do they along with the 'do not disturb ' sign have printed signs for fixing all of the above .....i had problems with all 3 of the above very annoying when not fixed and rooms slow to be cleaned

A little expensive for what it is but great location for a short trip from Singapore .Breakfast selection good but unless you're early feels more like a Butlins rush to get fed .Pools were nice but careful on the beach as sand flies a big problem ,for me anyhow bitten close to 30 times .

Lots of sun and a golfers treat!

The food - overpriced and tasteless

If you want a boutique intimate hotel, Bintan Lagoon is not for you. The hotel is huge and provides a range of facilities for guests who aren't sun worshippers. I am not a golfer and so did not play any of their highly recommended courses, but gathering from the number of golfers staying at the hotel the course would be as busy as the pool. It is quite a family place, with very little night time fun to be had. But if a quiet, relaxed, sunny holiday is what your after ... this pretty much fitted the bill!

Nightlife Tip : Dont stay at the hotel...it's far away from anything, but get out and enjoy some food and atmosphere elsewhere!

The best features of the hotel are the newly furnished rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The beach is clean and clear. The sand is white. The activities are many.

The wide spread of variety is good but the quality can be looked into. Seafood is over-cooked.

I would certainly return to Bintan Lagoon Resort annually for our family retreat and with friends. The resort certainly has the capacity and ability to accommodate large groups in which it also provides many activities to keep our stay fun and enjoyable. The serenity provides for relaxation and wonderful place to get away from the hectic schedule in Singapore. It is good for family with children to bond and have wonderful time with each other.

Hotel Feature Tip : There is another pool at the recreation centre which provides for more exciting fun.

The resort is in a great location for golf.

It is a little remote and therefore you will need to pay the (high) hotel prices for drinks and food.

Bintan Lagoon is an ideal weekend getaway from Singapore. The facilities are great. If you are a golfer, the hotel boasts 2 of the best golf courses in SE ASia.

Services of the staffs is Good and friendly. Spacious of the room.

Prices of the foods and entertainment are the higher side...

Quite a pleasant stay at the resorts, very relaxing. Days activties will be much more than the night activities. There will be a live band in the main lobby through the night. More focus on the sea sports despite the high side of the price. Beach bar will be close earlier than any other resorts at 9pm (bintan time) that left the silk bar (disco) till 2am..Overall, quite satisfactory on the short getaway...

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The gardens, pool area and beach were very nice. The japanese restaurant was very good.

Maintenance of the room was poor ie. Electricity constantly tripped. Shower was broken.

The Hotel is nicely located and the attached Goldf courses are a very good asset. The building probably needs renovation. The Buffet areas should have an option for Air Conditioned areas where the birds cannot gain access. The cost of alcahol and soft drinks as well as the souveneer shops are overpriced by a long way. This takes a little of the shine from the overall impression of the resort.

Travel tip : The local taxi is a fraction of the cost of the same booked by the Hotel.

Spacious room. good view. friendly services.

Longer hours of night activity, more activities introduced

This is the first trip that me and my girlfriend went for holiday. I would say overall our trip has been pleasant, as we basically wanted just to relax and to release our stress level in the city life. Bintan has provided us with the good place to relax ourselves. We paid a reasonable price for a holiday like this. Just that I thought we can have longer opening hours of the night activities. But this is a good experience for us.

Beautiful facilities - the friendliest staff I have EVER experienced

Difficult to escape from the resort

This place would be ideal for residents of Singapore to spend a weekend to get away from it all. I had never experienced such friendliness and a sense of true welcoming from a staff anywhere (and I have traveled a lot). That in and of itself made this stay worth it. I also felt that the price was reasonable if you were to compare it with a resort elsewhere. The only thing I have issue with is that it was very difficult to get away from the resort and see the "real" Indonesia. For example, I would loved to have tried more authentic Indonesian food, which seemed to be in fairly low availability there (although I did see some items at the breakfast buffet).

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Two days is enough time to spend there.

- Very nice beach and pool area - The rooms were decent

- very isolated, you need to hire a taxi from the hotel every time you want to do something outside. Costs SGD 24 for a one way drop - pricing is comparable to Singapore hotels for food, massage, water sports etc

The hotel has a nice beach area, also if you are into golf there are two golf courses in house. The leisure centre has a lot of activity for kids (you need to pay for extra for every thing) The water sports are adequate but we wanted to do some sailing and had to go to Nirvana beach club. There are no facilities for scuba diving in the area, and the reef is very ordinary. A word of caution - be careful of sandfiles.

- Tight security

- Food quality not up to standard - Pricey Water Sports and Food - Unfriendly Staff

Upon arrival at the ferry terminal, the 40 seater bus was fully seater and about 20 of us had to wait for 15 minutes for another bus to pick us up. We have requested for non-smoking room but there was none available at that point of time so we took the smoking room anyway. Thankfully there wasn't smoke smell in the room. Had lunch at one of the beach restaurant where we had to pay S$17 for 4 pieces of chicken wings which wasn't exactly tasty. Staff at lobby area ain't friendly. Transportation per way cost S$24 when you can easily get it at S$15 from private cab. Water sports are expensive as compared to those provided at Nirawa Beach Club (I had stayed there previosuly).

Hotel Feature Tip : Transportation are more expensive when you book from the hotel. Try to get external taxi driver's namecard and contact them directly.

have enough entertainment for adults & children, staff are nice and they will solve your problem once you call them.

hotel is too old and I think they should re-decorate again.

i enjoy the trip with my family but I will not go to this hotel again since the hotel room is too old. The sports facilities fee are too high. We paid a lot for Jet ski, banana boat. also,we can only eat in the hotel since this is very far away to eat outside and those resturant are quite expenisve
