A no frills place to stay
Accessibility to malls and food i.e. local food at Suharti, McDonalds & other food court type stuff

You get the basics for a reasonable price. The room is a decent size, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a shower but no bath, all the appliances worked and the TV channels were current. So overall, the minimum acceptable standards are met!
Restaurant Tip:
If you are tired of hotel food, try Suharti. It's a local restaurant just a short walk away from the hotel. The fried chicken and rice was very tasty.

Jakarta is nice place for a weekend, manythings to do and to see ;-)

Good Distance to Tharmin area

The hotel is near by to Grand Hyatt @ Tharmin and plaza indonesia. 24 Hr convienence store opposite the hotel. Friendly and accomodating staff who speak english and are ready to assist.

Great service lousy room

as per heading, the staff were all great. the rooms were a major letdown and no wifi in rooms as advertised in agoda's web page, only available at public areas. both the speed for cable in the the room and wifi were slow. the rooms were too dark even with all lights turned on and the shower temperature cannot be controlled for a constant flow of heated water. there's a glass panel between the room and the shower area so it felt awakard and the blinds are actually on the room side so anyone in the room can just lift it and see you doing your business inside. the swimming pool is probably only big enough for 5 adults and facing the breakfast/buffet crowd.. we got 2 rooms and stayed for 5 days.
Restaurant Tip:
Local food available opposite and along the roadside around the hotel. Some restaurants (including the Indonesian food giant Garuda) are located within walking distance. There is a Chinese-Muslim restaurant just opposite the hotel (operated by 2 Chinese from China), their meat skewers were tasty.

Great location
Excellent convenient location downtown.

Good size room for business traveller. Excellent location downtown. Close to Sarinah shopping centre and street foods all around. Breakfast on the 5th Floor was quite nice with outdoor tables as well. Negative: No Wifi in room and the Ethernet cable is barely 15 cms long and was really too short to comfortably plug into my laptop. I have stayed at this hotel many times for my business trips to JKT and will continue to do so.

Great Location
Safe neighbourhood, Easy access but a bit a crowded (traffics jam) in front of the hotel

i stayed for 2 nights and had a great time
located at strategic area, easy to go anywhere
i went for midnight show, because not too far from the hotel is the cinema. i back to hotel at 2 am and were safe to walk, since it is only walking distance.

Great location, great service, great staff
The friendly and incredibly helpful staff are the icing on the cake for this well-appointed and comfortable hotel.

i can't say enough about this great hotel. all mod cons, great staff (they found me a nearby optician when i left my glasses in a cab), quiet, convenience store across the road, loads of restaurants and shopping nearby, close to monas, the national museum, and the railway station,my favourite place to stay in jakarta.
