New, clean, friendly staff, nice pool, reasonably close to main attractions and malls
Bit far from Transjakarta if you want public transport, need to use taxis.
This is a newish hotel, very clean and well maintained in central Jakarta near the national monument, museum and other attractions. The staff were friendly, most with excellent English. Good swimming pool and reasonable selection in the restaurant

Super modern, super clean, friendly staff, great food!
This is an amazing hotel. Super shi-shi, with really friendly staff. And the breakfast buffet is great. It's in a good location, which makes getting around crazy Jakarta much easier. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great breakfast and room service. Good location. Quick and hassle-free broadband.
A bit dirty. Sloppy management. Cuts lots of corners.
Check in was fairly quick. However, it took me some time to get in since my door lock was a bit defective. The sheets and towels were more grayish white than white. The toilet didn't flush too well. The bathtub was dirty and slippery. Broadband was fast. Bathroom amenities were lacking (toothbrush and toothpaste only came on the last day). The bed and pillows weren't too comfortable. It was however quiet and rooms had good curtains. Temperature control and water pressure was quite nice though. Room service and the breakfast were excellent.
The hotel, overall, was value for money. But I wouldn't mind if they charged 15-20% more and just stopped cutting corners and paying more attention to the place and changing whoever does the laundry.
Restaurant Tip : Quite a few all night Chinese restaurants down the road. Worth going to for a late night bite!

Good value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. First class breakfast. Comfortable lounge area.
Not ideally placed for the main business/shopping areas but taxis readily available and cheap.
This hotel is very good value for money. Rooms/bathrooms are unexceptional but are reasonably large, clean and with comfortable beds. There are good views of the city from the upper floors. The buffet style breakfast is excellent and the staff throughout are friendly and helpful. The position in north Jakarta is convenient for the old port area but less good for the main business and shopping areas, although taxis are readily available and cheap.
Travel tip : There is a small pharmacy about 50 meters from the hotel.

Clean, Spotless hotel. Friendly and good staff. Really good breakfast.
Little bit inconvenient location. Minibar and hotel restaurants overpriced.
Pool was really nice: big "beach towels", poolbar staff brought cool/refreshing towels and a glass of cold water (free of charge).
Hotel staff gave good tips where to go and what to see in Jakarta.
Night time on the same street you can find lots of good restaurants/warungs.
Restaurant Tip : Try the seafood restaurants/warungs on the same street that the hotel is located (open only in night time)

Lovely sober urban-modern deco, choice of restaurants, breakfast buffet, comfortable bed, very friendly staffs, wifi connection, security, swimming pool, price.
Can be a bit warm at the lobby during the day, would prefer a shower cabin than just a bath tube, TV was a bit small, trip to Jakarta Central can be more than 15 min. if the traffic is heavy, which it is most of the time.
I felt good at the Alila Hotel the minute I stepped in, as I like the boutique hotel feel while enjoying all amenities of a top 5 star hotel. Check-in was quick and hassle free, by friendly (and funny) efficient front-desk staffs. The room was very comfortable and clean, as is the whole hotel. A truly enjoyable experience at a reasonable rate...

Good location.
Nice staff and are very helpful.
Breakfast is good.
Room is tidy and clean.
The hotel give my family a very memorable vacation. We lost our luggage during our transit at Changi Airport, Singapore to Jakarta. The hotel staff are very helpful. They not only help us to call the airline company, they even sent staff to the airport to look for our luggage. With the pleasant environment, reasonable room fare, nice staff, clean and spacious room, good breakfast with various choices, I will definitely choose Alila Hotel again.
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel locate near the airport coach terminal.

Poor lighting in the rooms - you can't see to type after 5.30pm!
Executive lounge is small, noisy, smoky, and has nothing to offer.
This is my 4th or 5th stay at the Alila. It's comfortable and in the evenings there are many street restaurants with great food and cheap prices. But it has limitations as a business hotel in that the rooms are too dark to work in. The internet works well, though. It is a LAN cable connection, and free. Breakfast is fine, but nothing special for this standard of hotel. The Pasar Baru market is about 20 mins walk or $1 taxi ride away.
Restaurant Tip : Turn right out of the hotel, walk to the main road and turn left. Within 100m is a restaurant on the left called Sopu Surubaya (or something like that). You'll recognise it by the outdoor soup cooker and satay barbecue, but indoors it is a beautiful old dining room with painted ceilings and pictures of distinguished diners on the walls. It's popular with locals. Lunch there cost under $3, for 10 satay sticks, plenty of sticky rice and a fresh melon juice.

Well, I think Alila Jakarta is one good hotel.
the staff are nice, room are tide and clean
location is OK (not that close to shopping center but not very far)
the only thing i would comment is breakfast choice at "the buzz" restaurant. I stay there for 4days and found that menu are all the same...
anyway, I am sure to be back again.

the concept of the hotel is modern and so impressed if people walk in from the lobby. The price is affordable ONLY for Agoda member. for normal price i suppose it is expensive.
overall,i can say the hotel is modern but somehow when i enter the room,it is so small eventhough for executive room.the facilities for the bathroom is so little as well.the condition of the bathroom looks old and more to chalet concept compared to the hotel.the bed lamp also was not functioned.
The hotel is good and i give 3* out of 5.the breakfast is superb.love the foods.but i'm quite dissapointed about the rooms.because it was totally different from net.we arrived bit late at night due to flight delay, and expected friendly treated from the receptionist, unfortunately we didn't get good welcome from the person in-charge.

Cleaness
Spacious
Nice breakfast
The hotel is very nice, spacious and clean. Staff very attentious and nice.
The only problem is the location, I mean, not that bad cause with a taxi 5-10 min you can reach Grand Indonesia or that area, but if u get down to the streets, there are nothing to do or see... only small shops, 1 or 2 gloceries...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The biggest Mosque in Jakarta is nearby and worth a visit. Right in front of it there is also the Catholic Catedral...

Excellent breakfast, great bathroom and bed in the room, great location if you want to be in North Jakarta.
I needed a place to stay to close to Ancol (the Marina) and this place was lovely and convenient. It is also convenient to many other places in central Jakarta making. Great rooms, the pool is fantastic, the lobby is welcoming yet stylish. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The internet in the lobby was strong and reliable. Overall I was super happy with this hotel.

Good price,good location.
Younger noisy people can keep you awake!
I use this hotel for its central location in the heart of Jakarta. Its central position is ideal for nearby Business and Banking faciiities. The hotel is clean and has a minimalistic atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and curtious and are more than willing to assist with any questions. The restaurant serves a good choice of food.I found the breakfast very good, freshly baked bread rolls and fresh orange juice. The small compact business centre has computers for internet and email access, although it is not free you can pay for 15 minutes at 28,000 rupiah. The hotel staff also monitor all taxis who collect passengers for safety reasons.Value for money and if you get a quiet room an ideal place to stay.

Great location,value for money.
Some younger guests can be noisy!
I have stayed now four times at this hotel. It has many good points. The location has been ideal for me as i am very near the business locations i need to attend. The price is also well within my budget. The food is good. The staff are all very freindly and always willing to assist with any problems. There is a good taxi service on the door step and these taxis are monitored by the hotel.the hotel rooms are basic but clean and have fresh appearance.great views of Jakarta too.The down side on one occasion was some adjacent rooms which were occupied by younger noisy crowd. The hotel appears to have a more younger generation stay.Good hotel and value for money.I can recommend a stay hear.
