Good location, close to restaurants and shopping areas. Just needed some good nights' sleep. Not bad for a short trip. Just the corridors are a little bit old then not much to say about other things. This hotel has everything you need for a stay. It was nice when we finished our whole day meeting and come back and eat then sleep. Have tried all their restaurants as well as a room service from the Japanese restaurant down stairs. It came with a nice presentation with the food putting in a partitioned tray. We did enjoy the service. Their prompt attention to your requests is worth to mention. The staffs at the front door are most helpful to get a cab for you and show you the directions.
Shopping Tip : Don't miss out shopping at the Senayan Shopping Centre. You can spend whole day enjoying shopping, food and the air conditioning environment.

friendly staff Housekeeping left much to be desired - my room lowerst room category classic room was very worn -but worse it was dirty and negelected. The carpet was not properly hovered - I found all kind of unwanted bits and pieces - among them finger nails. And that for a so called 5 star hotel. Yak! The safe interior, which was covered by a little piece of carpet was so soiled that I felt disgusted to put anything in it. Light switches and sockets covered in dust and grease! The Borodubur hotel is one of the hotels with very "Grand" public spaces - reception & lobby very nice, but the rooms do in no way match up to this. This most definetely applies to the classic rooms. I stayed in two different classic rooms at the beginning and end of my trip. They were both the same: dingy, worn and worst unclean. Also, since the hotel is very much into conference & incentive this can collide with the needs of leisure travellers. When fully booked, as it happened on my second stay, the breakfast room staff is unable to cope. If you arrive after 09.00 or even worse after 09.30 you will fnd many empty trays and empty spaces at the various food stations, which did not get refilled during my breakfast.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Cafe Batavia, approx. 15-20 minutes taxi ride, well worth going. Old Dutch-colonial building with very good, albeit a little bit pricey, Chinese cuisine.

Firm yet comfortable security, terrific breakfast, friendly/helpful staff, very attractive pool area, fine restaurants. Location not close to more key areas but if you enjoy walking it might not matter. Very good value for money; very attractive, comfortable environment. Bluebird taxis on standby 24/7 can take you anywhere in Jakarta from this central location or just bring you to the busway. The grounds are maintained well and provide a sanctuary of relaxation inside the bustle of this frenetic Southeast Asian giant.

A free upgrade to a junior suite.
Professional and helpful staff at the check-in desk.
A beautiful swimming pool. As a consequence of being a convention oriented hotel breakfast time was understaffed. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of Jakarta. The taxi system in place ensures that you can take a taxi at anytime to travel into town.
Bogor cafe presented a buffet that was outstanding and more than value for money.
The room was very nice and comfortable with all amennities present.
The lounge was a quiet place to relax with live music after the shopping or site seeing.
Overall a place to go back to.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Almost no taxi driver speaks English. The same for most of the staff at shopping malls.

Good security. Pleasing cosy ambience. Clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Poor telephone reception. Only 1 main gate opened. Had to walk a long way to go out or come into the hotel using the same gate. The hotel is almost like my second home as I come back every month. In addition to the courteous service, the rooms are large and cosy. I find the location is ideal for meeting business clients. The Bogor Coffee House serves sumptuous food and I never miss the breakfast. Security is first class.
Hotel Feature Tip : I do admire the beautiful floral arrangements in the lobby and on every floor. The flowers are always fresh and creatively presented. The artist deserves a pat on the back.

Nice ambiente, excellent breakfast, clean nice rooms, very nice hotel park with swimming pool and tennis court No many, maybe only that you have to take a taxi to go somewhere, nothing really nearby. coffee is not good at the breakfast as well. I have stayed several times in Jakarta and I must say that the Borobodur is one of the best hotel I ever stayed in Jakarta. Breakfast is excellent, just a little bit bad organized. Staff seam to be a little overwhelmed with there work and the arrangement is not good. Certainly will book again for my stay in Jakarta

Well maintain, comforatble, clean. not easy to get outside food around. Very comfortable hotel in Jakarta, the hotel facilities are clean and well maintain. Price is reasonable. From the hotel to downtown area is a bit jam during peak period. I stayed two days there and had my breadfast in the cafe (inclusive in my package), I found that the foods are the same for the two days, fortunately there are lot of varieties to choose. Also not easy to get outside food surrounding the hotel.

Centrally located, easily accessable. Appropriate for business appointments and meetings. Good and helpful service from front office, room service and coffee house. Poor internet connections in the several times that I had stayed. Bathroom shower heads and bathtub not up to par. Bathroom telephones poorly located. My first stay in Hotel Borobudur was way back in the 1980s. Very convenient location for my business associates to see me or to set up appointments. I enjoy the ambience of the Grand Lady and its facilities though the car park needs upgrading. Security is good and few hotels nowadays offer door service. One of the problems is that there are no developments in the surrounding area and its is bit troublesome having to go downtown for a change of food or some shopping. Nevertheless I enjoy the service and stay every month that I am there.
Restaurant Tip : Take your time to enjoy the sumptous breakfast

2 Level Executive Room with love seat, nice view. Great array of TV stations. Great Club, sadly you must request it, they don't offer it on check-in. Terrible hard beds...tiny bathroom with stall shower. Offered to help with repairing my laptop...charged me, did nothing. Fell off bed and cut ear open on nightstand--took a while for them to understand that they would be paying for the doctor's call.
Booked and paid with Agoda, they tried to charge for the room on check out... Said internet was free in room and then charged for it $15 a day. The real test is would I return and the answer is yes. The concierge went to the computer repair mall with me when his attempt failed. They did pad the bed after my accident... Liked the location, and views, beautiful pool but couldn't swim by doctor's orders. It is very nice in a city to be surrounded by green space. Even if the location in Jakarta were perfect for walking the city, no one walks... thus one would still be in cabs.
Noticed that even though there is no local eating card, the restaurant was filled each night with locals eating Indonesian specialties and most of what I tried was delicious. Chefs were willing to explain ingredients, help with pronunciations.
At the price, I doubt one could have a better 5 star in Asia.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Although no one walks the streets, any Golden Triangle area is perfectly safe..one doesn't need a guide to the malls popular with locals and popular sites.

Comfortable lobby Our only complaint was that the bathroom for our room needed updating. However, we were staying at the hotel at a very low rate. Other rooms may be better. Our flight was delayed so we arrived at the hotel in the very early morning. Registration was efficient and room very comfortable. Hotel staff assisted us with ongoing hotel reservations as well as with suggestions for sightseeing in the area. Breakfasts (included) are phenomenal and lunch at the Italian restaurant was exceptional. Excellent service, all around!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Don't hesitate to visit the mosque near the hotel, the largest in Southeast Asia. Tours are available.

Grand style, huge grounds, Olympics-sized swimming pool, great breakfast. Location not the best, exterior of building is ugly, rooms are fading. Very glad I choose this grand old hotel which is huge and runs like a grand old ocean liner. The grounds are lovely and very park like. The jogging track (700m) is excellent as s the swimming pool and gym. There are also many tennis courts. The restaurant is very stylish and serves an excellent breakfast. Rooms are being updated and are still of good quality just a little faded. Atrium shopping center is very close and is a great place to shop and eat.
