The hotel was a good business class hotel. It has all modern conveniences but may lack in character. Like most international hotels in Jakarta, security was quite tight. As you should in any hotel these days, check to make sure you know how to get out in an emergency.
- Shopping Tip : Deep in the basement of the Semaggi shopping center next to the hotel was a giant supermarket where you can buy drinks and snacks, rather than paying the hotel's prices.

This is, overall, a really good location for business visitors to Jakarta. The rooms are nice and Internet access from the room is relatively inexpensive compared to what many hotels charge.
- Shopping Tip : The shopping mall next to hotel has a big supermarket in the basement, if you want to stock the minibar with cheaper stuff.

On my last visit to Jakarta in 2008 I stayed at another hotel called the "La Grandeur Hotel" situated in Mangga Dua. This hotel offers the best in terms of value, cleanliness, location, etc. I highly recommend the La Grandeur.
- Restaurant Tip : Try the room service "Beef Burger." It's really good.
