Crowne Plaza Hotel, Jakarta

The hotel overall is very good. Very nice breakfast. Walking distance to Semanggi Plaza where you can enjoy your shopping and meals. Staff very polite and helpful. Will stay here again if come to Jakarta.

Quite a decent hotel and fairly well located. Generally a "safe choice" and great value for money. The place is showing a bit of age - wear and tear, some furnishings are a bit dated. Would be perfect if it had a quick renovation.

Spend 6 nights here recently after booking 2 times 3 days package with Agoda with discount for every 3d night. I thought the room was not 5 star, but rather 3 starrish. It could have been 4 star, if it would have been refurbished and clean, but everything was really old and the furniture and decorations were cheap and (i have no other word for it) ugly. One thing that stroke me was 2 paintings, that were hanging next to eachother on the wall, the kind of imitation paintings, and, it was 2 times the same painting... That shows me there's no care about the interior design whatsoever. The room was smelly and damp, I got backpain after a few days, also because there was a leakage in the corridor - the staff had only put buckets in the corridor to catch the water dripping from the ceilings, but took no actions to repair the damage. It was like that for at least 3 days, and I found it really disturbing. The food from the roomservice was nothing special, just about okay for asian standards, but they charged really high prices for it. I started to feel like I was in a trap: advertising a 5 star hotel for a cheap discount, but actually getting no 5 star service and rooms, but paying 5 star prices for drinks and food etc. Once I ordered a whiskey and a cocktail - The bill for these 2 drinks was about 40 $ ... Felt really uncomfortable all the way throughout my stay. On the second day I asked if they had a better room for me, since I booked a 5 star hotel, right? First they showed me the so called 'refurbished' rooms on the 6th floor... There was absolutely no difference with the unrefurbished rooms on the 14th floor - Only now I got the noise from the police station opposite the road real loud at 5 AM... So I asked if they had another room...They had a club room, or luxury, I wanted to see it: It was the same room, only, it was really clean and it had nice furniture and a good modern television. That looked (just about) a normal room in a 5 star hotel.

Booked this hotel, because I thought it'd be 5 star, and, for some weird reason, it got good reviews on Agoda. Why it got good reviews I have no idea, because, literally EVERYTHING was bad about this place. I thought there was something wrong with my room when I arrived, so old and dirty looking it was, but no, all rooms were like this. I demanded a better room so they showed me a room on a 'refurbished' corridor... Refurbished? Everything was exactly the same! Who are you kidding here... The same old over painted furniture (how come furniture can have so many holes and scratches i dont know?) the same crap on the walls. (bad imitations of asian paintings) When I was in that 'refurbished room' the noise was so loud at 6 in the morning, from the police station opposite, that i moved back to the 'old room' on 14... "Wow, this place is so ugly, that it is insulting!" The ridiculousness of that thought made me relax and fall asleep. So there's a disco downstairs. It's really bad and noone wants to go there. Another real highlight was the price of 2 drinks (one whiskey soda and one long island ice tea coctail) in the regular bar in the hotel... 40 dollars!!!!! OK this is going out of hand. Bad! and it wasnt a good Long Island. NExt thing is a leakage on my corridor right in front of my door that gets heavier and heavier over the days and no-one making a move to repair it... *sigh* I complain to the staff. the last night the manager moves me to the 'Luxury suite' on the 11th floor - which is a nice gesture and I appreciate it - but then, of course, we are being woken up by loud hammering and drilling coming from the room next to it... Bad. Never again!

The staff at this hotel was very professional and efficient, and the bed was very comfortable. However the room smelled stale, sort of like a dorm room filled with dirty clothes, because there was something wrong with the A/C unit I think. When I turned up the A/C unit, a bunch of black mold blew out of the A/C unit onto the carpet on the floor and onto the bed.

The hotel was next to Plaza Semanggi which was quite convenient. We took the Club Twin room and found that the room was really spacious and the beds were comfortable. There was also some good nightlife action from the Kama Sutra Club with a really entertaining house band. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety and was yummy!

The hotel is very convinient location and the staff very friendly and helpfull.Cheking in the hotel not taking a lot of time and the hotel security is great. The room very clean and when I have a problem with the bathroom (Flooded), in 5 minutes the maintananse already in front of my door and fixed it quick. In think I recommend to stay in thsi hotel for next trip to Jakarta, Indonesia.

Overall experience in Corwned Plaza is great, i checked in very late in the evening about 10pm. I only call the hotel at 8pm and everything is still under reserved and awaiting for my arrival. Friendly bellboy pick up my luaguage and wait me until i finish checked in and got my room card, he then send my luaguage to my room. At his exit, he just turned around and not even expecting for tip until i stop him. The stay generally ok, clean and neat hotel room. And I am glad that they didnt knock your door at 9am or 930am for room service! I have bad experience when i get awaked by room service specially when i forgot to turn on the do not disturb light.

It was my first time to stay in this hotel in Jakarta. According to my clients, this hotel is very accessible to them and for me - to the shopping malls and restaurants. Just beside the hotel is Plaza Semanggi - a medium-sized mall with several western-franchised fastfoods. The room is decent enough for business travelers, as well as for a small family. Although this is not a new hotel, it is still well-maintained.

Over all this hotel is OK. The executive floor is the usual layout with TV and space to work. But the food needs to improve. The selection, availability and range is limited. However, service is excellent. Staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. They remember names, requests and likes and dislikes. They make the difference. The rooms are a little tired and could do with an upgrade. Especially for the price that is being charged. Internet is steep at US$14 per day.

Best part is the executive club. Usual individual check-in and facilities. Staff service is excellent and they always are attentive, try to help and remember each guest name, likes and dislikes. Service is great. Hotel could do with an upgrade. Room is a little tired and needs to have some new facilities. Food is very average and with little choice. A bout of food poisoning contracted from the hotel (only ate in the hotel) was an extra that did not improve the stay.

Its has been our repeated stay at this hotels and so far we had a great experiences and always coming back here eventhough we tried some of the hotels around but this hotel stil is the best for us with the amount u paid u got better services than any other with more price.

Crowne Plaza Hotel Jakarta is located in busy traffic area but is convenient if you have things you need to do around this area. If you have plan to visit any of Jakarta many embassy is very convenient, they are only 10 minutes away with taxi. On other side of the street you can find head quarter police station if you have any issue you need to do there. If you are interested of shopping you have grand Indonesia and plaza Indonesia only 10 minutes from the hotel. This is very big and new shopping centre with all famous brands. I also like the hotel atmosphere very friendly. And the pool is nice to. In ground floor they have a bar with a band with professional performance and play very nice music.

Crowne Plaza is one of the best hotel I've ever stayed. It's always located in a very good location in the city. Their facilities is also good. However, two things I like the most are pillow and mattress. They've got very very good mattress and pillow which make my back pain gone away!
