The hotel is nice and will come back again if next time I'm going to northern area of Jakarta! One of the passenger lift sounds quite scary and troubling and it scares my daughter. The bathroom is my most important issue evrytime I go to a hotel. Although the bathroom's door lock is not working, it doesn't matter because I stayed with my family and no stranger in a room. The aircon works well. And the bed is still in comfort condition. I got a good room with a good window view. My daughter loves it so much. For a 2 stars hotel, I normally don't get a lot. But during my stay here in Ibis Mangga Dua, I found this hotel really tried to serve customers at its best. And generally the total stay is great. I spent 2 nights.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : I stayed at this hotel due to it's near location to the Seaworld at Ancol marina and we're very happy that the map really described the location exactly. It only took me 7 minutes to reach my destination and 3 minutes walking for a big shopping centre.

Very near to shopping area i.e. Mangga Dua, ITC Mangga Dua and Mangga Square. Very suitable for shoppers looking for branded but cheap stuff. All shopping centres are reachable by walking. Hotel area very congested with traffic ... but I guess this is usual lah ... Overall rating is satisfactory ... The hotel location is very strategic for for shopers to Mangga Dua area ... Food wise, kind of hard to find good restaurant for Muslim nearby ... not many choices ...

Cozy room with wooden floor. Near to shopping mall. The night market beside the hotel. People there will always checking on you if you're foreigner. Value for money. Room comfort and service not bad. Quite a happening area but traffic jam during peak hour(7-9am;5-7pm). Walking at the street alone at night is not advisable unless you have a local friend with you.
Shopping Tip : There's a mall beside the hotel that selling all kinds of electronics stuff.. with great price!

Shopping Tip : The site of the hotel very good in terms of shopping, shops and close to attractions and the hotel will be visiting in the near future. I also thank the staff at the hotel on the kind and speed of treatment delivery.

Room was not very clean. My one night stay at Ibis Mangga Dua was considered quite short for a proper review. In general the hotel location was very close to shopping mall. The road leading to the hotel was not giving good impression of the hotel, with potholes, small and congested road. The lobby was quite small and become quickly congested with guess, especially when the check-in was also quite slow. The bathroom was very small and the bed was not properly done (got hair and stain on the bed).
Shopping Tip : Go shopping at Bandung factory outlet.

Good location, easily accessible. Check in was speedy and staff helpful.
Lobby was spacious and airy- joined to a cafeteria and the La table restaurant.
Rooms are spacious but old and tired. First impression- relative old, worn out hotel. We booked at Ibis mangga dua after reading the numerous reviews from Agoda.Booking by internet was easy using Agoda.com
We stayed at the Ibis Mangga Dua on the 6th June 2009 enroute from Bandung to Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is conveniently located at Mangga Dua, easy for those who arrive by cipaganti. You cannot exactly walk there, but taxis are plenty at mangga dua- not a problem.
We arrived late and had to push off early the following morning, thus our review will only limit us to the hotel itself and the night market beside the ibis.
First impression: tired old hotel that will certainly benefit from a make over. Porters/ bell boy were really helpful (plus point) but security not good. The hotel is surrounded by slum areas, public/ guest walks in freely... making us feel rather unsafe. The night market was equally unsafe to walk in the night.
Shopping Tip : Don't waste your time at the night market. In comparison, bandung is many times better.

near with Dufan
quite cheap I choose this hotel due to this hotel is very near with Dufan, its only about 15 minutes to Dufan.
The hotel also near with Mangga dua square where you can get "all you can eat" restaurant; hanamasa.
The hotel also give nice service, the receptionist willing to give information about entertainment near hotel, how to get there, the minutes to get there, also accept our belongings even we has check out. We can back to pick our belongings then.
Hotel Feature Tip : hotel car for transportation to dufan will be good

Great location - short walking distance to several malls e.g. Pasar Pagi, IT mall, etc. Spacious room, clean, tasteful decoration, pleasant staff. The efficient taxi service - always ample no of taxis standing by. The nearby street market - hygiene & traffic hazards.Poor lighting at night.
The areas in front of the hotel as you walk out needs to be better lit up to create a more vibrant surrounding. Our 2-night stay at Ibis Mangga Dua can be described as one of the most time-efficient stay in Jakarta due to its great location. The convenience of being only 5-minute walk away from a variety of shopping, food and entertainment outlets really saved us time and energy. It really helped us to utilize the 2 days efficiently. Realistically, we would need 1 day per mall to cover all the shops and attraction. Again, due to its proximity to other attractions, we were able to drop by Mangga Dua Square mall for a few hours. Basically, by staying at Ibis Mangga Dua, all that we need for a good shopping holiday are within a 500 meter radius. Will definitely be our top choice for our next trip to Jakarta.
Restaurant Tip : There is a very good Nasi Padang outlet near the Le Grandeur Hotel - about 10 min walk from Ibis. Its about 100 meters from the Le Grandeur entrance on the main road opposing a motor workshop. Good food and great price. RP60,000 can get you a fulfilling dinner for 4 persons.

Convenient location. Service ios okay The road walking to hotel is dark. Near to ITC Mangga Dua, just few mins walk and you can get buying experience in Mangga Dua. There is night market just opposite the hotel. The condition of the room is reasonable and value for money. You will not get bored as there are many activities you can do around the hotel, especially shopping. I must say value for money. Would hesitate to recommend others.

The hotel location is near to the shopping mall.everything near the hotel..food,money changers,bank and things u needed. the stalls out there..can't stand with the smell!! Ibis Mangga Dua such a pleasant hotel for shoppers!located in the centre of Jakarta where its easy for u to go anywhere nearby.besides,the staff at the hotel,they were so helpful and kind.that was the main reason why i like the hotel.most important how they welcome u.you wont feel difficult to go anyway when staying at Ibis Mangga Dua.

Very near to the Mangga Dua ITC. A bit slow on the reception. Does not have a proper sign and bit difficult to get there for first timers. Overall satisfied with this hotel. It located exactly at Mangga Dua, one of the most famous shopping area in Jakarta. Easy to access to most of the place and save a lot of travelling time by staying here since Jakarta having very bad traffic congestion. Staffs here should be served better with faster service and caring on guests need.

The hotel is strategically located in the city centre. So close to the popular venue Mangga Dua shopping complex, a place where many imitation leather goods are sold at cheaper prices. The hotel staffs are also helpful and willing to give direction. The hotel toilet needs some refurbishment. The hotel is worth for money as 3-star standard hotel. The hotel is very convenient. It is close to Mangga dua Shopping center. Taxi under Blue Bird groups is very reliable. Food at Hotel is too expensive. from the airport to the hotel is just 30 minutes. From the hotel to the best shopping center at Tanabang is just Rp33,000 fares and only 30 minutes drive. To Magga Dua shopping center is just warking distance. Therefore, I found that this hotel is juat convenient and will be recommended to all my friends.
