There is a small pool and fitness centre.
Close to shopping and eating places buildings nearby are quite run-down This is a lovely hotel and the normal Ibis standard you might expect anywhere in the world.There is a small amount of car parking place if you have a car.
The rooms are average size and have very comfortable beds and air-con.There is cable tv with a couple of movie channels and the Australia Tv channel.
It is only 2 blocks from 2 department stores and many restaurants,including western style McDonalds and Pizza Hut.There is also Jakarta theatre which shows english speaking films.
Shopping Tip : The two department stores nearby always seem to be having %-off sales.It is also just a short taxi ride to Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia shopping malls.

nice bed, close to shopping mall(Sarinah), Mangga 2, Grand Jakarta, Hard Rockcafe and other interesting place. food poisioning after took my breakfast at the hotel cafe. Took me 3 days to cure my stomachache The hotel look beautiful and nice from inside, eventhough the room is a bit small. No bath tub but the toilet look nice and clean. Outside the hotel a lot of taxi drive waiting and always keep on looking at you...I really hate it. Nice swimming pool and staff. Come in a bit early but still manage to check in, thanks. Hope to be there again.

3) Availability of F&B in house and nearby 24 hours of the day.

5) Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. 1) Rooms too small, a tad bit too miniscule for comfort, but what the hey, the price is right!
2) Night activities such as clubbing is a bit far from the hotel!
3) View out of the window of the room not really conducive. As a business hotel, The Ibis Tamarin Jakarta truly stands up to its value for money motto. However, if you are looking for a cosy place to enjoy a holiday away from work, this is definitely not the place to stay.
Overall, we were happy as the hotel was just walking distance away from such places as Tanah Abang, Monumen Nasional, Sarinah Complex, Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia and EX Mall. However, for those of you not accustomed to walking more than 5 minutes, there are plenty of taxis (meter starts at Rupiah 6000) or 'bajaj's" (three-wheeled scooters, prices start at Rupiah 3000). Word of advice though, the bajaj drivers are known to balloon up their fares for foreigners.
Shopping Tip : Sarinah is not too cheap, but if you're looking for textile, clothes, shoes and as such at cheapest prices, you can definitely pay Tanah Abang a visit.

Central location, inexpensive, clean The hotel was expecting me, check-in was accomplished quickly, the room, although small, was adequate and clean. The location is central and the room was quiet. Hotel service is neutral: nothing to comment about, either good or bad. On check-out all proceeded smoothly. A plus is having Bluebird taxis on-call at the door.

Located at center of jakarta, easy to find food, clean room, freindly employee and just a few minute walking to mall and interesting place. This hotel is suitable for budget traveller. This hotel location center of Jakarta and easy to find food, mall and intersting place. We were stayed at this hotel for 2days and it 's value for money. Just a few minute walking we can find the Sarinah Mall and a lot of food stall and also easy to getting a taxi. But a room is very small and enough for only 2 peoples.
Restaurant Tip : There are a lot of Nasi Padang Restaurant near this hotel

for 3 stars hotel, fine, clean, nice people, location is good, a block away from Starbucks. could add more choices for breakfast. The location of this hotel is good, it is near to the typical Indonesian street, you can see a lot street food, a lots little shops, you can buy them as gift to friends. Also it is in the center of town, near the big malls, only 5 mins away for it. It is really convenience going anywhere.

Comfortable rooms, great location. Room was not ready when I arrived at 2.30pm. Waited for 30 mins before I settled on a non-smoking room, when I clearly indicated I wanted a smoking room. Great location. Central Jakarta, so easy access to everywhere. Comfortable rooms, an easy to get a cab since there's a Bluebird stand at the hotel. Room service menu is plentiful and more than adequate. Just a short walk away from Sarinah Plaza, and a shopping mall across (didn't get the name) has movie theater and 24 hours Starbucks and Oh La La cafe.
Nightlife Tip : Many bars and pubs just 5 mins walk away from the hotel, at Jl. Jiaksa (not sure if I'm spelling it right).

Good sized rooms/parking/swimming pool
some shops and eateries near hotel are "dodgy-looking". The hotel is good western style hotel and almost identical to all other Ibis hotels.There is a lovely pool and fitness room.
The hotel provides on bottle of drinking water daily and only stocks the minibar if you request.A feature I like because I never use minibars in hotels as they are overpriced.
Shopping Tip : Java department store is only 2 blocks away and has many good bargains.Also pizza hut and other restaurants attached.

Close to sarinah and eating places that are suitable for westerners. Some terrible shops and "restaurants" very nearby. I found the check in staff friendly and quite quick. The hotel has a pool and gym room. there are two levels of free parking available for guests and the staff in the car park are friendly and helpful and will even help you enter the road outside.
Shopping Tip : Java department store is less than 2 blocks away and they always seem to have many markdowns every time i am there. across the road is sarinah which is very good but a bit more expensive. on the top level of the sarinah office block (at the rear) is viszta karaoke which is very good and has fantastic sound and a great range of songs.

The hotel staff are friendly and particularly helpful. The rooms are small but neat and cosy offering the comfort of home. Overall, value for money. The buffet breakfast is superb and reasonably priced at Rp45,000++. Good location as it is located near Sarinah Mall and Java Mall.
Shopping Tip : For bargain buys, shop at Sarinah Mall. For sports goods, Java Mall.

extreeemly friendly staff. Nice room ... spacious and clean. Very well known, so taxis will not have any problem finding it. food aint bad, but it aint great either. The hotel was a breath of fresh air after a grueling 30 hours of travel. The people could not have been more helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to help me find and get to the textile museum. I wanted to walk (it's not that far away) but they kept insisting that I take a cab. I didn't want to ...but I am sure glad I did b/c the area surrounding Museum was kinda creepy.
Travel tip : i chose this hotel b/c it was near the textile museum. It is close but you must take a cab ... neighborhood is a little slummish

4) It took the staff forever to serve my meals when I dine in the cafe downstairs. I stayed few days here for business trip. The hotel is within walking distant to couple of malls. The immediate surrounding is not too convenient though. The crowd in the immediate area of the hotel seems rather rowdy. May not be too safe for ladies to walk alone in the night as will have to past through some local street stalls and few local pubs.

The staffs are all friendly and helpful. Their service are also fast and efficient. No delay when we request for anything. Hotel layout is also comfortable. The swimming pool was located nicely and with privacy. Hotel location is near to few good shopping spots which is Tanah Abang. Good and reasonable price restaurants and food outlet are also nearby. Not to mentioned, a place to hang out, Sarinah Shopping Complex. The rooms were all too small and there is no extra bed available. My friend who's traveling together with me are sharing 3 pax in a room and when requested, we were informed that the hotel does not provide extra bed. Looking at the small room, we later understand that there's not even a space for an extra bed. Moreover, it was mentioned that the charges was inclusive of extra bed. This caused dissatisfaction to my friend. Friendly Hotel
Shopping Tip : Go to Tanah Abang's Metro and Blok A which is about 1km away from this hotel. Practice your bargaining skills and you will bring home more than what you can imagine...Pheww! We did!

Good location near Monas, vivid Sabang area, Sarinah and numerous other shops. Hotel has gone through some face lifting, but some corridor areas are still a bit dull. Hotel IBIS Tamarin is a good and safe place to stay for occasional tourists and business travelers who want to stay near Merdeka square. Strategic position for seeing both Jakarta life (Sabang) and for shopping. The hotel has relatively fast access from Soekarno Hatta airport as it takes some 40 min by taxi (normal traffic). Taxis can be easily found near the hotel. Hotel rooms are not huge but sufficient for sleeping, breakfast decent, staff is friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : National Museum, Monas, Merdeka square, Jalan Sabang and Jalan Jaksa, Jalan Surabaya antique market not very far.

Easy to access to shopping centers or shopping malls & city attractions. A little bit old and small space. If you look for really nice hotel with good facility, you'd better pass this hotel. But in my case, the hotel is not the main staying place.
I recommend this hotel to those visiting attractions in the city. Really easy to access and move to shopping mall and MONAS. You can find more stores around this hotel. Only this strong point is the reason why many people stay here, I think.
