- good location
- friendly and helpfull staff
- nice design and clean rooms - no breakfast included in the rate but the price was still reasonable for a buffet; the first morning i was rather late and some items were not available anymore; the next day i had breakfast early and luckily more to offer
- no free internet; the internetcafé next to the hotel is very bad: very slow connection and high rate; better go to jalan jaksa for the internet café there The main reason for choosing Ibis arcade is that for a reasonable price you can stay there as comfortable as possible. I stayed in the other ibis at the other side of the street before but i actually prefer this hotel. In Tamarin i got the impression to stay in a small room; during these two days i never got that feeling in arcadia. Maybe the hotel lacks character but there is not much to complain about either

Check in was available at 10 am.
A request for a room change arrangement was accommodated with little disturbance to me. A hotel that is located in the central part of Jakarta and close to shopping, entertainment and other facilities.
Hotel Feature Tip : The service and facilities provide good value for money expended.

Good location, good service from the staff. There's not much to do in Jakarta and not much to do in the hotel, either, so easy to get bored. If you're here for a while, pay the extra and get a hotel with a pool. The Arcadia was a pretty short distance, either walking or taxi, to pretty much anywhere you'd need to go in Jakarta. A couple good restaurants are on the same street, and shopping areas just a few blocks down. The hotel itself is a pretty classic three star: decent bed, TV, shower, comfortable but no frills. I think we got our money's worth.
Travel tip : There's an Indonesian restaurant across the street and next to the ibis Tamarind hotel that was a great dinner. Can't remember the name, but easy to find.

Near shops and transport. Centrally located. Clean For the budget minded. This hotel is up near the top. It is located near major shops and shopping centres. It is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. It is important to have amenities nearby in Jakarta. This hotel is next to many restaurants and shopping. It is not isolated. Value for money.

Small bathroom, need to be renovated, I think. The best part of this hotel is the location. It's located near Sarinah mall (old one) and another newer shopping center. You can hangout all night at the Oh-la-la Cafe. They open 24 hours. Nice cafe.
Back to the hotel, overall, the hotel is just the place to sleep. They do not have swimming pool. The standard room do not have any Internet connection. We have to buy a voucher to connect via Wifi. So, I choose upgrading my room to deluxe room. This one have an unlimited hi-speed internet. The connection is nice. Standard hi-speed internet connection in Indonesia.
The room is quite small. The bathroom is small too. They need to renovate their bathroom. They use a standard home-like air-condition. The first night, the AC have a little problem. The water pipe of the AC is leak. After a little conversation to the reception (via telephone, off course), they send their technician. They done the problem for almost half an hour. They also clean up the mess (leaked water and the dirtiness they make).
Overall, this hotel is quite good just to have a place to sleep.

Location is very good - in the heart of Jakarta.
Staff is OK.
Access to taxi is very convenient. In general, we were happy with the hotel. We picked this hotel because of its location and considering we would only stay here for the very early departure the following day (Tips: for taxi to airport, you may want to ask the staff here to negotiate the price and it should be around 120,000-130,000 rupiah, or USD12-13, and it takes up to 45 minutes to the airport)

Near night market for eating smell of smoking in the room the hotel staff can assist us in many ways, however the hotel's room smell smoking that make we swith on air-condition all day. This hotel situate near night market for eating so we can find something easily for eating. If evaluate from the money we expense for this hotel, we think that it is O.K. that next time we will stay here again. I would like to invite you to stay here too.

the hotel stunk like smoke and the staff were useless and made us wait and gave us a smoking room even though we had asked for a non smoking a month before really bad service and stinky hotel however the room was clean. they put us on a smoking floor

I was upgraded to a spacious newly renovated room. The room was clean and had a safety deposit box and there were a lot of cable channels to choose from. I requested a non-smoking room and floor, but was given a room that smelled like a bar. When I complained, the attentive staff upgraded me to a cleaner and odorless room. The in-house masseuse wanted to end her massage after only 30 minutes even though I paid for a 1-hour massage. When I gave her a Rp 20,000 tip for the lousy service, she demanded more. The service was good and the response time to my requests for the housekeeping was very fast. The room was cosy, clean and spacious and was good value for money.
The location of the hotel was also ideal as it was in the heart of Central Jakarta, near the new malls and the night life. There was a good choice of restaurants nearby, ranging from Western to traditional.
I will definitely come back, especially if they will have dedicated non-smoking rooms and floors.
Restaurant Tip : No need to limit yourself to hotel food as there are so many restaurants in the area, with many choices and a wide price range.

The room is clean and the service is good. The main selling point is the location which is in the central of business district and it's easy to find anything, food just around the corner, shopping mall is just 5 mins walk and the environment is safe (next to the police station) The room is too small, internet not included in the hotel fees. Overall I liked my stayed in Ibis Arcadia Jakarta. It was wonderful since the location of the hotel is in the central of Jakarta and near to everything that you need; restaurants, shopping mall, office, and even pub and bar. I arrived late at night but I still can feel the warm and sincere welcome of the hotel officials. I didn't taste the food at hotel since there're so many choices of food around hotel. Despite the internet connection problem, Ibis arcadia is the hotel that seems perfect for the traveller, especially for the person who travelled alone. I'll loved to comeback next time.
Shopping Tip : Only need five mins. walk to the best shooping malls in jakarta EX and Grand Indonesia.

Good price, well-designed rooms, good service. Surrounding location is a little bit seedy, rooms are small, limited closet space. The Ibis Arcadia is a small business hotel located within walking-distance of Jl. Thamrin. It is a business-focused hotel mainly frequented by local Indonesian businesspeople, with the occasional backpacker looking for a good deal. The hotel is simple but serves its purpose well. One important thing to note is that there are TWO Ibis hotels on the same street, less than 100 meters apart on opposite sides of the road. The Ibis Thamrin (the other one) is better-known and if you simply ask for 'Ibis' you will probably be taken there. The two hotels are within sight of each other so the mistake is easy to fix.

Very good location. Near food stalls. No swimming pool. No free Internet connection. The hotel is located in the city centre. It is very close to all the food stalls. Exit the hotel, either turn right or left and you will find all the food stalls. If you turn left, you'll find all the western type of food. If you turn right you can find all the local types of food. Taxis, especially the Blue Taxi Line, are readily available outside the hotel. The hotel doesn't have a swimming pool, but they'll give you a coupon to use the "sister" hotel's swimming pool, which is just opposite Ibis Arcadia.
Shopping Tip : We took a 2 hour drive to Bandung for factory outlets of branded clothing and shoes, like Adidas. It was worth the drive.

- Near to Gambir station - hotels need to be maintained properly. Stayed in hotel for 1 nite. Check in was quick. Room was upgraded from standard to deluxe. Room condition was very good. i had to travel to Bandung next day and it was very convinient to take blue bird taxi...just about 5 mins to the station. Overall satisfied with the stay and i had good nite sleep. very near to sarinah centre and 5 mins walking distance to restaurants. Cleanliness of the lobby to be improved. Suitable for single or business traveller.
Shopping Tip : -Near to shopping centre, restaurants, Monas, Musuem and Gambir station.

The hotel has a great location and you can find many places to eat around it. Very friendly staffs, and you can find money changer at the same street. All the rooms smelled bad. I had stayed here twice and the rooms smells weird although it was a different room. The hotel is located at a very convenient street that only takes minutes to the Malls by taxi and walking distance to the street vendors and restaurant. The staffs are very friendly and they even remembered my name upon my stay at the hotel. A set back is that the rooms smells really bad. I thought it was only the room that I stayed in on the first visit, but the second visit, the rooms stills smelled bad. Even, when I moved to a different room, it was still smells. Overall, I would prefer to stay at the hotels across instead of staying here. There is another Ibis hotel just across the street.
Restaurant Tip : There are plenty of street vendors around the hotel, but I will recommend a Garuda Restaurant just minutes from the Hotel. It served great Indonesian Padang food.

Close to the busway which makes it easy to go to anywhere in Jakarta. It was just a 7 minute walk to the busway station (Sarinah). Lots of food stalls in the area. You have to pay for your internet connection which I think is a little bit expensive. A little bit old and run down. While I'm not impressed with the condition of the hotel per se, it was overshadowed by the friendliness of the staff. Added to that was the easy access to all points in Jakarta using the Busway system since it was close to one of the stations (Sarinah). If you want to use the internet connection, I would strongly recommend to use one of the internet shops close by. It would save you money even more!
