I stayed at this hotel when it first opened. Have not stayed since due to bad traffic around Slipi. Since I had business nearby I decided to try it again. Checkin was laboriously slow. The room stunk of cigarettes and wet carpet. The internet did not work. Airconditioner was broken. For one night I suppose it is just ok but I will not be staying again.

The Ibis Jakarta Slipi is a good 3-star budget hotel, just like they are advertised. The hotel is right next to the venue of the event I was attending so that was very convenient. The only thing is that, although I got a non-smoking room as per my request, the ventilation system is such that when other guests from other floors smoke, the smoke travels through the vents and still gets to your room. I had to close my bathroom door and stuff a towel in the opening between the bottom of the door and the floor.
