well that was not the first time i stayed in Mercure Hotel, almost every year i stay in, because i like the place, i can do so many activities with my kids, and my kids really love staying in Mercure there's no private beach in mercure hotel in there, u can do so many activities such as fishing, jet skiing, swimming, golfing, go to Dufan (is a place with so many recreation things), doing outbond, go to Sea World the biggest Aquarium in south east asia i think and more more more
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : dont ever go to Dunia Fantasi on Weekend i think

Surrounded by interesting places for sightseeing and shopping. The hotel fail to provide us coupon for re-enty to Ancol and we end up paying double for entrance fee The hotel located perfectly at the edge of Jakarta entertainment area which gives quite a spectacular view from hothel room. Hotel staffs are nice and helpful. There was security checking before entering the hotel which pretty much set you at ease. Hotel dining gives you variety of cuisine. Overall its a nice place to be.

Good Location, Friendly Staff Rooms Quite Old, Small Bathroom We needed a small weekend getaway, and was thinking of doing that wihtout having to travel too far from the city. So, decision was to go to Ancol and to stay near there - so that we could pshyche up the holiday feel, without having had to go out of the city.
On the D day - we checked in and although during the time, the Agoda Voucher i presented was not able to be assesed on line from the hotel system, however the hotel staff patiently continue to try to a certain time point where they decided to assess the voucher off line. Appreciate that, checking in although quite problematic, did not have to ruin our holiday mood.
Throughout the stay for about 2 nights, we felt at home, hotel facilities although not grand but very conviniently accessible and safe - kids playing room and the swimming pool were staffed with guards to ensure kids safety. So, appreciate that as well.

The buffet breakfast is superb and the comfortable bar area allows you to take coffee by day or drinks by evening in a very conducive and relaxed environment. The location, hotel rate and facilities are best for those who are travelling with children (family) Staff responses for guest who'd like to check in early is not as good as other accor chain's hotel I stayed during school holiday for 1 night, and when I arrived early at the hotel, I asked for an early check-in, there are 2 staffs who informed me different information, the one who handled me informed that I can check-in at least at 10am while the room is being cleaned but the other one said that I should come back and check-in after 1 pm. Which one should I follow?
Later, the first staff told me that I can go to my room that the room is prepared and cleaned already, but when I came to the room, the pillow sheets (twin bed) are dirty and bed sheet i believe were not changed, I can smell the sweat from distance and the color of the sheets were almost grey rather than clean white. If the room is not ready for an early check-in the staff should not inform guest that it is ready. It is disgusting to sleep on sheet which has been ised by other guests...
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Dunia Fantasi, Seaworld, Gelanggang Samudera are easily accessed by any means of transportation, even walking. Great location, but please mind the cleanliness of the room especially during high season period

little close to the hotel.you have to pay to enter the complex by taxi great room with a great view. nice and quiet with friendly staff. no one really speaks any English though so it's difficult to communicate what you would like. the hotel is a bit far from almost everything except the amusement park which you have to pay to enter despite having paid to enter the complex to check into the hotel.
Travel tip : book thousand island tours the day before at the hotel or walk to the harbour for same day tours. it's not cheap though and most ATM's in indonesia limit withdrawals to 1m RP

Very good secure area, Ancol is a theme park region.
Hotel was well priced and the staff were friendly.
Buffet breakfast was exceptional with a good variety of both Indonesian and Western cuisine. Had to pay 12000 rupiah per person each time you entered the Ancol district even though we were staying there.
Although well priced, you got what you paid for. The room (superior king size ocean facing) was a bit shabby and the bathroom was becoming run down.
Buffet was not included in the room rate and was quite expensive. The Mecure hotel in the Ancol region is a reasonably budget hotel and this is reflected in the quality of the accomadation. We booked the most premium room available on the net and it was quite shabby and the bathroom certainly needed some work. The benefit of the hotel is that it is in the Ancol area which means you can avoid most of the business of the streets outside Jakarta. We experienced a bit of lost in translation when enquiring about shopping in Manga Dua. The concierge explained that it would take us about 20 mins by taxi but failed to inform us that the hotel ran a shuttle twice daily there. Pool area and resturant were nice and very well maintained. Would only consider this hotel again if was inclined to make another budget trip. Would probably spend more money and get a nicer hotel next time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Many amusement parks to fill your day up.

Good location right inside the Ancol Taman Impian Themepark. Quite inconvenient as guests need to get the entry vouchers to the Themepark from Front Office every day. Overall we had a good stay as the hotel was nearby to some themeparks and a handicraft area. A very happening location with lovely view of the sea and boats. A lovely place for evening walks or early morning exercises. The hotel staff were friendly and obliging and spoke good English.

small bathtube I have a good experience in Mercure, good view to golf course or you can upgrade your room to the sea view. You can rent a tandem bike to explore the ancol area, you can easily go to Beach, Dufan, Gelanggang samudera, seaworld and in sunday morning you can have a good street market and morning exercise in pasar seni (art market)
Restaurant Tip : a lot of nice restaurant around

Kids Indoor Playground Area is nice. My kids is sheltered from the hot sun while having fun :) Billiard room is stuffy with the aircon not working well. This hotel almost have anything that you need. The hotel area is huge and it is in the ancol theme park area. From the hotel you can go to most part of the theme park like the Seaworld and Atlantis, Fantasy World and more......!
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel will give a complimentary passes for family members staying in the hotel. The passes are for entry ticket to ancol area. If it is used up, each adult family member have to pay the entry fees again to get into Ancol.

nice location (seaside), nice view, very reasonable price, very good ambience Old building, f&b is expensive I was staying there for 2 nights. It was quite annoying when I checked in because I had to queue for more than 1 hour and I booked 3 rooms, 2 rooms available, but another 1 room was still not available (it was already 4pm when I checked in, probably it was because of the peak season. But after that, everything was OK. It was worth for the money I spent (it was only 50 dolar per room per nite). The hotel is located in very nice location (inside the Ancol resort of Jakarta) with the beach at the backyard ot the hotel. I will surely come back to thsi hotel for my next holiday.
