little close to the hotel.you have to pay to enter the complex by taxi
great room with a great view. nice and quiet with friendly staff. no one really speaks any English though so it's difficult to communicate what you would like. the hotel is a bit far from almost everything except the amusement park which you have to pay to enter despite having paid to enter the complex to check into the hotel.
Travel tip : book thousand island tours the day before at the hotel or walk to the harbour for same day tours. it's not cheap though and most ATM's in indonesia limit withdrawals to 1m RP

Very good secure area, Ancol is a theme park region.
Hotel was well priced and the staff were friendly.
Buffet breakfast was exceptional with a good variety of both Indonesian and Western cuisine.
Had to pay 12000 rupiah per person each time you entered the Ancol district even though we were staying there.
Although well priced, you got what you paid for. The room (superior king size ocean facing) was a bit shabby and the bathroom was becoming run down.
Buffet was not included in the room rate and was quite expensive.
The Mecure hotel in the Ancol region is a reasonably budget hotel and this is reflected in the quality of the accomadation. We booked the most premium room available on the net and it was quite shabby and the bathroom certainly needed some work. The benefit of the hotel is that it is in the Ancol area which means you can avoid most of the business of the streets outside Jakarta. We experienced a bit of lost in translation when enquiring about shopping in Manga Dua. The concierge explained that it would take us about 20 mins by taxi but failed to inform us that the hotel ran a shuttle twice daily there. Pool area and resturant were nice and very well maintained. Would only consider this hotel again if was inclined to make another budget trip. Would probably spend more money and get a nicer hotel next time.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Many amusement parks to fill your day up.

Good location right inside the Ancol Taman Impian Themepark.
Quite inconvenient as guests need to get the entry vouchers to the Themepark from Front Office every day.
Overall we had a good stay as the hotel was nearby to some themeparks and a handicraft area. A very happening location with lovely view of the sea and boats. A lovely place for evening walks or early morning exercises. The hotel staff were friendly and obliging and spoke good English.

I have a good experience in Mercure, good view to golf course or you can upgrade your room to the sea view. You can rent a tandem bike to explore the ancol area, you can easily go to Beach, Dufan, Gelanggang samudera, seaworld and in sunday morning you can have a good street market and morning exercise in pasar seni (art market)
Restaurant Tip : a lot of nice restaurant around

Kids Indoor Playground Area is nice. My kids is sheltered from the hot sun while having fun :)
Billiard room is stuffy with the aircon not working well.
This hotel almost have anything that you need. The hotel area is huge and it is in the ancol theme park area. From the hotel you can go to most part of the theme park like the Seaworld and Atlantis, Fantasy World and more......!
Hotel Feature Tip : The hotel will give a complimentary passes for family members staying in the hotel. The passes are for entry ticket to ancol area. If it is used up, each adult family member have to pay the entry fees again to get into Ancol.

nice location (seaside), nice view, very reasonable price, very good ambience
Old building, f&b is expensive
I was staying there for 2 nights. It was quite annoying when I checked in because I had to queue for more than 1 hour and I booked 3 rooms, 2 rooms available, but another 1 room was still not available (it was already 4pm when I checked in, probably it was because of the peak season. But after that, everything was OK. It was worth for the money I spent (it was only 50 dolar per room per nite). The hotel is located in very nice location (inside the Ancol resort of Jakarta) with the beach at the backyard ot the hotel. I will surely come back to thsi hotel for my next holiday.

I like the free internet facility. A good combination of pleasant views of beach and golf green field.
I think lobby area need some improvement, now it's look like too crowded.
A nice swimming pool just in front of the beach with a sliding tower. My kids just love it. Room is reasonable clean and neat with a free high speed internet access.

The hotel location is perfect for people looking for entertainment, the food is delicious as well
The check in and check out is taking long time, no enough staff to server guests.
The hotel location is perfect for people looking for entertainment where you can reach Dunia Fantasy , sea world and samudra , the food is delicious as well. the swimming pool is not so big, the sea view room is so nice, the staff is friendly doing their best to make you happy , trying to avoid during weekend where hotel will be crowded.

The friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel security, which makes our stay more at ease.
Having to pay entrance fee every time one gets in and out of the theme park.
Stained bed linens.
Upon checking in at 12.30am on the 20th (or 21st morning), I was rather annoyed at the idea of having to pay for the theme park entrance fee. Naturally, I gave the staff there a hard time which they took rather calmly and professionally. Eventually, I ended up not having to pay for the said fee.
The point here is, I was rather pleased at the way the staff handled the situation and it goes to show how effective the hotel is at giving customer satisfaction.

+ Quiet location close to the sea.
+ Many activities around. Because the
hotel lies inside a big area with the
seaworld, great restaurant for fresh seafood
and and many else.
+ Sailing, windsurfing, boot rental everythings
possible.
+ Staff very friendly and helpful.
+ Breakfast buffet with a good selection of food.
+ Rooms refurbished.
+ Kids-club and a nice facilities for table
tennis, snooker, basketball.
+ Free cable-Internet in the rooms.
- Definitely far away from the city-center of
Jakarta.
- Bathroom needs to be refurbished.
If you prefer a seaside resorts for your stay in Jakarta, this hotel is great for that.
We were very surprised with the absolutely friendly staff in the hotel and around.
Location is not an ideal one. Because the transfer to the city centre takes nearly 30 minutes. The rooms are newly refurbished. But the bathroom looks very old. Beds very comfortable and the A/C is quiet and efficient.
Here you get the international standard 4-star hotel from the Mercure-chain.
For all we would definitly come back. I will recommend this hotel.
Restaurant Tip : I would recommend a seafood restaurant in the Ancol-area. About 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Freshly cooked fish which the guests choose by themselves. Price about 10 US Dollar for 1 person for dinner.

We enjoyed the hotel location- in the Ancol theme park which is right on the ocean, with lots of walking space and places to just relax. The hotel has a nice lobby and wonderful buffet. All the staff were very helpful and friendly and there was security which is nice for the foreigners. Breakfast was not included with our bill, but they included the wonderful breakfast buffet with our stay.
The hotel is a bit aged. Our room was clean, but the bathroom could definitely use a face lift. We loved our superior king bed, but like hotels that use both top and bottom sheets, as well as sheets that are the right size for the bed. The sheet was not a king size sheet.
We would stay at the Ancol Mercure hotel again with its nice location in a relaxing atmosphere. The lobby was a relaxing and enjoyable place to relax and the breakfast buffet was fabulous. Our bathroom needs an overhaul and the linens could also be upgraded. There were lots of options available for time with families, so we would consider going with our family another time. The pool facilities were great for all ages. Overall we were pleased with our stay at Mercure Hotel in Ancol.
Nightlife Tip : The Bandara Restaurant in the Ancol complex is a great place to eat or hang out in the evenings.

Not too far from airport.
Booked kings size bed but was given twin beds.
A value for money hotel. Located at North Jakarta which is close to airport. Room is clean. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Fantasy island is close to the hotel. A good location for family with kids. Nearby there is a seafood restaurant selling live seafood with live music. Breakfast with sea view which is fantastic.
Restaurant Tip : Good lively seafood restaurant nearby.

nice room with sea view, on the ground floor front balcony and opening to the garden to go àç pool
unsafe water, and a little yellow, to take a bath, it means!
beautiful hotel, spacious room with a beautiful sea view, and a priori, the only hotel with sea view! in the middle of a park and a golf course, very quiet and secure, just too many guards elsewhere, but Jakarta is not too much! not forget to request a ticket from the hotel to the reception, to avoid paying a fee to enter the park. breakfast very good and very hearty. the staff speak English rather poorly, it's a bit long!
Hotel Feature Tip : tranquility by the pool

Prima Hotel after a tiring flight, good service. Away from the bustle and congestion of central Jakarta. Well located on Java and in a green park area. Tip: Take a room with sea view, expensive but worth the money . Moderately priced
Consumptions expensive than average, but normal for this class hotels. In the restaurants and cafes just outside the hotel prices are very low. To visit the center and night-clubbers only accessible by taxis, quite long journeys and many "traffickjams, the taxis, I found quite cheap.
In general I have good memories of this hotel. Especially to come from your jet lag and get used to the hot climate. Upon arrival at airport: Take a taxi from the Blue Bird Company in a row just outside the arrival hall. They are reliable and have meters. The hotel is approximately 1 / 2 hours from the airport. Nice quiet location and for walks in the park beside it. This park is well visited during the day at the beach locals who want to do. The beach you must not get overly excited about it. evening there was still relaxed. There are also opportunities to use the adjacent golf courses, a cruise along the coast with fishing boats and a Waterworld. Swimming in the sea is not possible, the water is not clean enough. There is a hotel swimming pool. The quality of the hotel restaurant is good for this class and especially the breakfast is very varied: you can get a western breakfast with an egg and toast, but you can also fill up with unlimited hot and Déserts for rest of the day. Also at the dinner much choice.'s Entertaining evening with live music. Not far from the hotel there are reasonable laaggeprijste quality fish, and other restaurants. Short for me an option to a subsequent visit to Jakarta again using of this hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : 2: If you dare: make use of the motortaxi that offer their services to the taxi stand near to roads to explore. It is not as hot as a walk in the heat and they often have several tips. Trade well under the price in advance to speak.
