this hotel has a very good location for business people as well as tourists. the staff are friendly and knowledgable about Jakarta. the meeting rooms are well suited to meet the needs of business travellers and also local users. We have hosted many gathering here. If meetings go through the lunch hour, the Morrissey is able to put on a very good spread of food.

good 'old town' location
Staff were friendly, room cleanliness and 'make up' each day was very good. Pool location was excellent, but gym could do with an exercise bike or rowing machine.

My stay was riddled with room changes. I booked for 9 nights and had to change rooms 4 times...... my first room (505) was fine until it became flooded with paint smells, or something toxic, to the point of headaches. Everything was fine until day 3 for some reason. Then I was moved to 321 which was comfortable and a nice upgrade due to my problem with working on my laptop in 'toxic' room. After two nights (when I was told 3), I was moved to 905, which I stayed in for 1 hour as the room could not be opened from the inside. Then i was moved down to 805, which again had a paint smell/toxic, but not as bad as 505, and I really was a bit over moving rooms. I did ask for a late checkout on my last day, and was informed 'on the day' that this could not happen due to a group booking. It perhaps would have been nice to know the day before, as I am sure the group booking did not occur on my day of departure, unless I am incredibly unlucky, or front reception is not well organised.
As much as there were some excellent points about your establishment, and some very helpful staff, when I am back in Jakarta in about 3 months I will stay at the Pullman (where I was for the first three nights). It may be a bit more expensive but I could not fault that place in any way.
Restaurant Tip:
Fantastic places to eat within walking distance, and a great vibe at night time.

Good location; Slightly disappointing rooms

This was my first time in Jakarta, and I may have judged this hotel more harshly because I did not really enjoy Jakarta. However, I felt like the rooms did not live up to their pictures and descriptions. The room we had was small and dark and the bed was not particularly comfortable. I thought the location was really good, but Jakarta is so spread out that it is hard to determine where the best place to stay would be. There was nothing wrong with this hotel, but for the cost, I expected a bit more.

The room was very spacy, very comfortable to stay. I especially enjoyed swimming at the pool. Everything inside the hotel was superb, but the outside was not. The street was not in good security, so that I thought that I needed to take a taxi just to go to several blocks away, such as the Sarinah department store. This is not directly a fault of the hotel, but I appreciate if all hotels on Jalan Wahid Hasyim take a united action to make the street environment safer to travellers.

The atmosphere at the Morrissey has a great modern contemporary feel. The rooms were clean and cozy. Only downside to the room is that the bathroom is too small. The customer service was great! The hotel is situated in a great location; being very close to the city center. However, the greatest problem would be that the hotel is located near a mosque which projects prayers at around 4-6am in the morning. But overall the experience was great!
Restaurant Tip:
Must try the restaurant situated within the hotel named Ocha Bella.

comfortable room with enough space for chilling on the couch, eating dinner etc. Bathroom was a bit small but sufficient. Breakfast was ok, but dinner at the restaurant on the lobby was fantastic. Location is good, only minutes away from the big shopping centers. Overall a very satisfied stay with very good customer service.
Shopping Tip:
GRand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia is just a 5 minute car ride away minus the traffic.
