Nice Time at Novotel's Two Mangos Guest Rating: 4.7

From the moment one enters the doors of Novotel's Mangga Dua hotel to the conclusion of the stay, we were felt to be at home with a customer care staff that attempts to see to every need and request. The hour of the day was not a factor when something needed to be done to accomplish personal comforts or business interests. The ease of coming and going to the airport includes just another reason for staying in this class hotel.

When we arrived we had to wait to check in until 2pm. When I checked in the receptionist told me we could check out as late as 1pm but come 12pm there was a knock on the door asking if I wanted to extend my stay. The hotel is good value for the price and it didn't bother us not to have breakfast included at such a cheap rate, especially being so close to the shopping malls. The shopping wasn't that impressive around the Mungga Dua malls. It looked pretty run down. The staff were all very friendly. The room was nicely furnished and clean. Although I was expecting it to have a bathtub. The pool is a beautiful 50 metres long pool, plenty big enough to do a few laps.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The very helpful bellboy who gave us all the tips we needed to buy the stuff we were looking for, the pleasant and cheerful demeanor of the hotel staff in general. Requests were generally attended to swiftly, security at the hotel was good, rooms are nice and clean, location was excellent with transportation easily available and eateries right next door - all for a reasonable price too! - These all made our stay here fantastic. It had none of the cold, imposing feel of a fancy big hotel but felt just like a friendly home away from home which we looked forward to coming back to, especially after a hectic day's shopping in the busy streets. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient location right next to Mangga Dua Square and Carrefour, Busway stop is a minute's walk away, taxis are readily available, service is prompt and pleasant, rooms are clean and functional.

This is a good hotel you should stay if u are at North Jakarta. Can have a simple shopping at Mangga Dua Square. Many nice restaurants nearby. Near to Ancol (the Disneyland of Jakarta). Many business travelers like to stay here. Staffs all have good service attitude.

Big swimming pool. Big nice room. Fair price.

Walking distance to some of the rooms take too long. WIFI internet signal very week and always got disconnected.

Overall this hotel is very good, and Novotel, already a famous hotel. The best thing about the hotel is the location, which is very strategic, near all shopping you need (Glodok Plasa / Harco Mas Mangga dua for electronic, Mangga dua Mall for fashion, Mangga Dua Square and Carrefour for food, etc ). if you are looking for entertainment, this hotel is very-very close to ANCOL / DUFAN, which is Jakarta Main Water Park and Theme Park. If you stay here, try the swimming pool, they have Jacuzzi and music underwater. The only thing needed improving is the Internet connection which should be cheaper or give it for free.

LARGE ROOM. Swimming Pool (there's music underwater). Good Location, there's a Carrefour Below, near Mangga Dua Mall. Very secure rooms. Comfortable and a large BED.

THE INTERNET CONNECTION not FREE and we had to pay a lot to use one. Standard Room didn't have a bath tub.

• Shopping Tip : Shop until you drop at Mangga Dua PASAR PAGI, here, the price is VERY CHEAP, I recommend it.

Novotel Mangga Dua Jakarta North Guest Rating: 4.5

I spend two nights at Novotel Mangga Dua. It is a nice place, very quiet, nice food and drinks, amazing swimming pool, possibility to swim or to have hammam and sauna till midnight, and something I found special: the soap and shampoo smell incredibly nice.

Room very clean. Amazing swimming pool. Nice singer at the evening. People really friendly.

Bad quality of television transmission.

I had always like Novotel, having stayed in multiple Novotel hotels across Asia. You could be assured on the standard of the rooms and its services. Good that they have a frequent guest card now that I can earn reward points with. Compare to another 5 stars hotel in Senayan, who make me wait 2 and a half hours for my room, and that is me having to ask them if the room is ready. Booking through Agoda is also a breeze. Earning the reward points makes it more worthwhile.

I book an Executive room over two days last week and was pretty impressed with the hotel. The check-in was done on the 8th floor. While waiting, I was ushered into the lounge for a drink and snack. The lounge provides free food and drinks throughout the day, and I was happy to do it a few times in the two days that I was there. The room was pretty standard for Novotel. It was reception that I like most. They were warm and see to my needs. They got my cables for my lappie to surf the net too. Location wise, it was pretty closed to many malls and bazaar.

When I call for ice, it took a second call in 15 minutes before it arrive. On the last day, on checkout, they wanted to charge me for a day and said that Agoda would charge me only for a day. I had to show the booking details before they were okay with it.

• Hotel Feature Tip : If you are in the executive flr, do not use the mini-bar, instead drop into the lounge and drinks and snack are available till 9-10 pm daily.

Great hotel for family Guest Rating: 4.3

This is a great hotel for families especially with their large swimming pool. The service is great and responsive, but it seems their check-in process is slow and inefficient (not the fault of the employees, but the check-in system). The location is at Magnna Dua area, and this hotel is directly connected to one of the shopping malls. This hotel is great for families with kids but not for couples or honeymooners - lots of kids in this hotel.

• Restaurant Tip : The restaurant at the hotel is a bit pricey. You can eat at many of the places nearby for half the cost or less.

Mangodua Business Class Guest Rating: 5.0

Excellent business hotel in a very good location for shopping and siteseeing. Although it was Ramadon the service was excellent as was the attitude of the staff. Staff was very helpful and most attentive and the hotel pool was great. Will definately come back

Very very good hotel for the price and fantastic location as far as shopping and sightseeing. Located within 30 minutes of the airport during high traffic periods. Food was great and the price for food and alcohol was resaonable.

The only complaint is the really really bad smell coming from the stagnant water in the canal in front of the hotel. This needs to be cleaned up and soon.

This is a very good hotel that you should stay if you are in North Jakarta Area. Nearby all the night life locations.. Just around 10mins drive. Shopping also at Mangga Dua Square.

Clean, good hotel rate, nice swimming pool.

Have to pay for the wifi internet and the signal is very weak.
