I have been to Asia more than 20 times and stayed in about 100 hotels. My visit to the Park Lane Hotel came at the end of a 3 week visit to China, Thailand, Bali and Jakarta with stays in 10 hotels. From the first welcome to the final departure, the staff of the Park Lane were the best and most welcoming of any hotel I have ever visited anywhere.
The hotel has just about everything so I can happily recommend it. Jakarta is not a "walking" city so location is not perfect but there are always taxis available.

Good hotel in located within 10 minutes from Sudirman road in the centre of Jakarta. The restuarants in the hotel serve good food and is affordable with friendly staff serving. The facilities are okay but nothing special. Generally I consider it as a no nonsence hotel that is good value for money.

This is a quality hotel and as such is excellent value for money. Rooms are modern and spacious, and there are good facilities for business, meetings, etc. A good buffet breakfast is provided, although some variation would be welcome, and other meals, although OK, were not to the standard expected. The main negative factor is the location. It is on a very busy road with much traffic congestion, and a taxi or car is required for everything as no shopping, restaurant or other facilities are within easy walking distance.

It's really a pleasant surprise when we came to Park Lane hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean, gym is well equipped and lively. We had buffet dinner there and the food is definitely 5 stars!
Highly recommended and great value for money especially for business travellers.

I always stay at Park Lane when I make a trip to Jakarta. Must have been here at least 6-7 times now. Honestly couldn't complain about anything. Its reasonably priced, the rooms are spacious and very clean. Bathrooms are great.
We always love having breakfast at Park Lane due to the wide selection and good coffee. Service is always excellent and friendly.
Right next to Puri Casablanca apartments which has a nice shop and restaurant.
30 mins from Kelapa Gading or 40 mins from airport, depending on traffic!

Having stayed at the Park Lane a number of times in the past I felt this stay there were a few down points in regards to previous stays.
Especialy for breakfast the service seemed to be under staffed and lack of variety from day to day. Something for management to consider around public holidays etc.
Staff are and have been always polite to both of us; and show their interest and concerns for our stay in the hotel.
Did find that it is easier to go down stairs for a coffee/ tea because otherwise it would be almost cold if you got sent to your room.
Reasonably priced to stay at; good location to malls, Blok M, and central Jakarta. Just have to remember at certain times the traffic outside is heavy. So pre-plan before hand.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Don't forget that much of the facilities in the hotel are part of the price tag, such as the gym and pool.
Business centre although more expensive than using outside computers/ printers/ photocopying are reliable and reasonably good quality.

This was definitely not a 5 star hotel. The room was old with stained carpets, old boxy TV, shower was over bath-tub and toiletries were cheap and nasty. If this hotel was reviewed it would come in at best 3 star. Maybe they gave me an old room but it was extremely disappointing and I will never, ever stay here again.
