really love the newly renovated rooms in pullman with black and white concept. the design is contemporary with great bathroom. pullman never fails to live up to its promise as being the hotel of choice of travellers. the staff are forever professional, helpful and friendly.

Nice hotel in a great location
Great location in the heart of town, friendly staff, good service and newly refurbished

hotel is conveniently located in the heart of jakarta, right next to a couple of shopping malls which are accessible via an overhead bridge. i read somewhere else that the hotel was a bit run-down and old but i think it has been recently refurbished and everything looks pretty new. rooms were nice, modern and clean. the staff were friendly and service-oriented.
Restaurant Tip:
There are quite a few nice restaurants located in the malls across the hotel.

at plaza indonesia you are in quick reach, traffic allowing, of many of the central businesses, as wells as some of the major malls like the eponymous pi and grand indo, with the respective wide selection of eateries.
the staff is very cordial also, i've asked for a late checkout and there was no problem.

Nikko Hotel is located in the heart of Jakarta. Shopping is just a walk away and its a very nice hotel to stay with facility like Swimming pool, Jaquzzi, spa.... etc
Nightlife Tip:
A place to check out is Hotel Mulia CJ's Bar (with great live band) and Malioboro (Polo dancer)

Great hotel, small rooms, perfect location

I'd already stayed at this hotel and returned because the previous stay was such a pleasure. The 2nd time came up to the same standard. The only inconvenience is the security which makes vehicle access a trifle difficult. And pedestrian access is a bind. The other, small inconvenience is the cake shop not selling coffee and smoking is at the far end of the lobby.
Restaurant Tip:
Try Warung Desa serving local food in a Western environment. It's on Jalan Sabang.
