Good Hotel
Location, Room and Breakfast
First time visiting Jakarta and the hotel is near the office so I think the location is great for me. First night late check in and got my room in quite a bad condition room. They move me to a new room next day which is better but the floor is also under renovation. Overall the hotel is OK. Will stay there again on business trip.

Good hotel - no usable internet

Good hotel in many respects, but I will not stay here again as the internet connection was unstable, non-existent or at best intermittitent. Connection to the wifi was easy - but clearly the hotel has not sufficient bandwidth for the number of guests. I wasted hours trying to get/retain an internet connection. Staff were happy to help with the wifi connection and then, finally, admitted that the problem was with the hotel and affected everyone. Management need to realise that guests expect a business hotel to provide a usable internet connection - as simple and basic a principle as "bathrooms need water"!

Noisy stay at Santika Premier
(1) I was give wifi user ID and password upon check in. It was not working however I was patiently trying, thinking it was my phone issue. Upon calling the Business Center the next morning, I was given new user ID and password which worked fine. (2) Extra room card was not working, had to go back to Reception for another check/activation. (3) Dirty fork was not replaced next day..still linger on the desk amongst clean bowls/napkins. (4) Renovation on the floor just right above our room. First morning was Sunday, no works done, which was fine. Second morning was Monday, 8am hammering and drilling noises very loudly could be heard from my room, waking up my tired and sleeping child. We spent all day outside the hotel, so not much issue for us. Upon my return to the hotel (around 10pm) I spoke to the Duty Manager to ensure NO NOISES THE NEXT MORNING as we have to rest. And guess what...8 am next morning NOISES STARTED. Upon complaining to the Manager, noises stopped almost immediately, only to RESTART 30MINS LATER. I made another complaint call, to no avail, at the end I stopped complaining. A Guest Relation Officer turned up on our door to offer apology with a basket of fruits. They obviously did not value me as customer, they realised how noisy my room was and no effort to stop it and make my stay better...My discomfort worth only a basket of fruits. I found this practice unacceptable. While in Singapore, I've got a discounted hotel price however the hotel clearly mentioned that renovation was ongoing so we were advised of the possible discomfort (hence the low rate). There should be a gap floor next to renovated floor, to ensure guests privacy are not sacrificed. I found Santika Premier's practice was selfish and intolerant. PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.
