Great located 5 star hotel in Jakarta

Perefectly situated 5 star hotel, + all facilities pool gym spa massage, many spoilt choices of restaurants bars, I didnt venture out, as all was within the hotel itself, managemment and staff are the best you will find, just be aware of dodgy taxis from the airport, do not take white horse premium cab, I left my mobile on the back seat, and the driver claimed it, but denied it, anyhow long story, beware!!
take silver bird or blue bird only, they are very reputable, and the hotel also advised to only take these taxis also, lesson learned
you wont regret booking the Shangri La Jkta, get away from the busy congestion of jkta traffic :)
Nightlife Tip:
nightlife in Jkta is one of the best in Asia, if you havent tried it well go ahead and find out for yourself :)

Had a great and memorable experience at the Shangri La. Food was excellent along with prompt attention and detail to a fantastic service during my stay. I will be looking forward to staying again.

a pleasant and central location in jakarta.rooms are spacious and well appointed. without exception the staff are polite and extremely friendly and eceed in services and care . out door gardens and the pool area is well presented and evry facitlaty from restauant selection to spa and fitness centers provide an overall great experience.
Travel tip:
Upgrade to Horizon Club for business is a must

Great hotel in an otherwise forgetable city. The service, food and bar were all very good. It's nice to have the high level amenities and service at a reduced price compared to Singapore.

I think they should upgrade or renovate. After all i expect more from horrizon club.
Old rug.. Need to be changed.
Bath salt to be changed and renewed. I found the bath salt smelly.

Great hotel with good staff

Comfortable room, excellent service from check in, stay all the way to check out. All in all, if I had the chance I would surely stay here again. This is one of the better hotels around.

i wish i had booked more than 1 day. this hotel is a super luxurious one. the buffet spread is amazing.the room size is generous...and the bath room is a top notch standard for a five star hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Try the buffet dinner at Satoo restaurant. The spread is amazing!

Great Hotel and Facilities

Hotel was very nice and the facilities they have are second to none. Great Spa. Good restaurants and overall we were happy. The staff were efficient. Slight language barrier was an issue as we expected more people to speak English at a Shangrila.
The only major issue was when we checked out the detailed bills were not available. They just had a summary. Since we had such a big extras bill I wanted to see my signature on each purchase but they took 2 hrs to prepare it and it still was not ready so we had to pay bill and leave hotel since we were catching a flight.
I am not a fan of this as I dont know if there were incorrect chargers or if they had made any mistakes I would not be able to tell.
Something for them to look at in the future. Most hotels globally give you the room bill and if you want to inquire into it in more detail they will let you.
Restaurant Tip:
Great Dim Sum Buffet at the Chinese Restaurant at the Hotel !
