for the last 3 months i start staying this hotel if having business trip in down town jakarta.
the spacious and comfortable rooms and luxury lobby area will maintain this hotel class as excellent.
location is near to mangga besar, ideal hotel for business visitor as well as for those looking for entertainment

Very friendly staff, nice bathrooms, generious spaced rooms

The only disadvantage is the location of the hotel, North Jakarta, heading to the business centers can take you easily 1 to 2 hours during rush hours, but quite close to the airport and Ancol.
Also important to mention are the buffets, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner....all perfect and very tasty.

The hotel room is comfortable, clean and big enough for a solo traveller. Although the location of this hotel is slightly inconvenient, but this hotel is value for money in overall in terms of staff performance, their attitudes toward customers and hotel condition.

Nice Hotel in Jakarta's old town

Mangga Besar is in the old town of Jakarta near the China Town. The hotel is sanwiched between roads with bustling traffic most of the day. Yet you don't feel the hustle and bustle outside. The rooms are very well equipped with all the amenities: LCD TV, nice bed and spacious bathroom, coffee making machine etc.Securities, a must in Jakarta, is tight but friendly.

nice hotel, but room smell

i like the hotel but the bathrooms smell of sewer . i booked with agoda, 2 deluxe rooms with king beds. when i checked they tried to give me other rooms with 2 small beds. after about 1 hour of hassle the up graded me to rooms with king beds. the only problem was the rooms they gave me were old and not very nice. was not happy for the 2 day stay. the staff was nice, but rooms were not

Value for money and great location

Rooms are spacious and well maintain. Love the location, its very convenient and an ideal place to stay if you want to enjoy Jakarta's night life. Easy access to food and shopping mall, hotel staffs are friendly and able to communicate in English. Sure to be back on next trip. Highly recommended for traveller and sure I will be back.
