Stylish rooms, lush garden, pretty good food, helpful staff Over-attentive staff, no peace at swimming pool due to street vendors calling out from beach, too insular for our taste We stayed four nights at the end of a three week island holiday. We had been living fairly simply for two weeks and were looking forward to some comforts. However, we found the Qunci Villas not to our taste. If you want an insular resort experience, then it may well be right up your alley -- nice pool, very stylish, no need to leave the resort, plenty of other well-off and well-fed westerners, VERY attentive staff. If you want something more low key and integrated into a local community, this probably is not the spot for you!

Great service, nice rooms, good food. Some beach vendors were allowed to sell their wares on hotel property which was mildly annoying.
A glass of wine was very expensive at about $10, much more than the cocktails were. This was truly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! From the welcoming staff to the well-planned beautiful rooms, gorgeous balcony view (we stayed in an ocean view villa at the Pool Villas), the tasty breakfasts, the lovely surroundings, it was all soooo relaxing. We could easily have spent another week there. We travelled with our son who turned one during our stay, and the staff organised a cake with his name on it and sang Happy Birthday on the day. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome.

Right in front of the beach. With the beautiful public seafront pool and the price we paid, Qunci is really a good choice. When we ariived in the morning waiting in the poolside chairs and ordered some cold drinks, they didn't charge us. Food in the restaurant is of course more expensive than that in the Senggigi village but deserves it. They have two hotels: Qunci Hotel and Qunci Pool Hotel, just next to each other. You can walk to each one through the beach and enjoy the pool in both hotels. There was a live dance show in dinner time. Eating dinner in the seaside restaurant was romantic.

6泊分の予約をしたのですが、最後の1日はオーシャンビューの部屋がいっぱいで予約がとれず仕方なくガーデンビューを予約しました。チェックインしてから、最後の日もオーシャンビューにして欲しい旨を伝えたところ、最後の日に空きができたからということでオーシャンフロントビューの一番いいお部屋に移動することができました。このお部屋はプールのすぐ横の部屋なのですが、ベランダから海を見渡せとてもよかったです。Qunci Villaは2つあって、私達が泊まったほうは去年できた新しいほうだったので（ガーデンビューはその隣の隣にありますが、レストランや全体的な雰囲気は少し新しいほうに比べると暗い感じでした）、今後泊まられ方は是非新しいほうのオーシャンビューをお勧めします。

Personnel are fantastic
Food is very good Qunci Villas and sister hotel Qunci Pool Villas are just fantastic.
The ambiance is super cool, with every detail taken care of to perfection. Rooms are extremely nice and confortable (no TV, mind you). Personnel are always discretely present, and so nice. Food is very good too, though prices are to Westerrn standards (10 USD for a mojito).
Highly reccomended!
Hotel Feature Tip : Call hotel for free transport to/from airport.
Moreover, Gili islands can be easily visited with a day boat trip directly from the beach in front of the hotel

pools - both are stunning with good facilities for lounging around all day
rooms - simple but smart design. no tv's in the room - i thought this might be a problem but in fact in the end wasnt as i was too busy lounging by the pools and strolling on the beach to worry about TV!
Its quite a way into sengigi - you need to get a cab which makes its not so convenient to check out the nightlife and restaurants of the town. on check in the staff said "treat Qunci Villas as your home and we are here to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible" - that sums up the resort. The staff were just fantastic - nothing was too much for them and they were also keeping an eye out so could often anticipate your needs. The rooms are simply decorated but they are stylish and have everything you need. The pool areas are stunning and make you feel like you are staying in a very exclusive personal resort. I really enjoyed staying here - i had just had a very hectic 3 weeks of meetings in Bali so the 3 days at Qunci Villas was the perfect antidote - i didnt want to leave!
Hotel Feature Tip : if you want a bali style outside bathroom request a ground floor room.

Beautiful design, impeccable service, wonderful food. The Quinci is a very reasonably-priced haven on Lombok. Outdoor shower, breakfast brought to your door, and really, really well-appointed, comfortable rooms. and you can walk two properties down the beach to Quinci Villas' pool which is even nicer, even more lux. Even when we had a few minor issues - our minibar refrigerator was on the fritz - they fixed them immediately.The staff were impeccably trained and so responsive - they seemed really happy to be there. The cocktails were weak. Seriously - that's it. (Easy to fix.) The Quinci can't do anything about the scores of sarong and jewelry sellers who suction on to you the minute you leave the property on the beach, so I'd just call that an overall challenge for all of the hotels in the area. I'd probably also make it a "no blow up kid toys in the pool" hotel... it got a little bit loud and shrieky at times which detracted from the ambience and serenity of such a beautiful place. This hotel can't be more than five years old - everything is perfect. It feels like the design hotel I would have designed if I were a designer -very peaceful, relaxing, and no attitude or "trying too hard to be cool" like the W Hotels. All we wanted to do was lounge by the beautiful infinity pool, enjoy the ocean views and RELAX. I read about the Quinci in the New York Times and it exceeded my expectations - You'd probably pay about four times as much for this hotel most other places.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a car and driver at the hotel and explore the island via daytrip. We visited a fabulous local market (great photo opps of food vendors and horse-drawn buggies), had lunch at Kuta Beach (not somewhere I would stay) and visited weaving and pottery-making stores/workshops. (The pottery one was pretty touristy, but not horrible for a quick stop.) Skip the nightlife in town (cheesy cover bands and a Waikiki feel), except for a nice dinner at Square. We were fine eating at the hotel and at Square and didn't bother venturing elsewhere.

Nice food The rooms are nice, with cool open-air bathrooms. The food was just perfect, good value for the money. The grounds are well-maintained, very green and beautiful. Overall I think this place is a VERY good value for the money.

''Oasis in chaos'', very good hotel and the beach Apart from being at the pool, there's not much to do; hotel is 5 km from Senggigi and practitally no life around it,. Hawkers at the beach. Very pricy, specially for local standard. No TV in the rooms. Great to stay here, although if you want more than just lying at the pool there's not much to do. To go to sengigi you have to either rent a scooter or take a taxi. Otherwise the location is great, great beach with virtually no tourists, only few local fishermen who seem to fish in front of the hotel deliberatly and few hawkers. Great sunsets.

The staff are extremely nice and helpful. The ocean view pool villa is not facing the ocean, only the side has the view of the ocean. The hotel is very nice and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful in all areas, always willing to help in all areas. The food served in the restaurant are good. The location is excellent with the sunset view everyday by the pool side. Have to check the facing of the room if you would like an ocean view villa, not all rooms has the ocean view.
Restaurant Tip : Try the food along Senggigi, it's nice.

Really gorgeous place, the location is great, the food is great, the staff are great, the rooms are great, everything is great only the very loud call the prayer from the mosque! We stayed at Pool Villas for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been happier. It really was a fantastic place to go. The staff really look after you, they're really helpful and friendly. The rooms are gorgeous and the balconys are amazing, if you can get a sea view room it is totally worth it.
The food is absolutely excellent even though it is a bit more pricey than other places it is easily the best food we had while we were away. You can eat your meal on the beach by candlelight which is very romantic although you must book to do this otherwise you may be disappointed!
Avoid the beach bungalow restaurant inbetween the two Qunci hotels, we had a revolting meal there!
Can't recommend Qunci highly enough!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : definatly worth going to the Gillie islands, they're gorgeous.
Don't bother with the trip to the waterfalls, they're not that spectacular and its an expensive trip for what it is, it also takes about 3 hours to get there!

Location on the beach, service, rooms, swimming pool No safe in the room, only at the lobby. Cleanliness of the room (marks in the ground). Locals on the beach always trying to sell their stuff and calling trhe customers of the hotel. Good hotel. We actually stayed at the Quinci Pool Villas (50m away from the original Quinci Villas), opened in the summer 2008. So facilities in good condition, very confortable and stylish rooms, with big teck terrasse. 2 floors bungalows located in a beautiful tropical garden. Efficient and friendly service. Good food at the hotel restaurant. Very nice swimming pool, just next to the beach. Quiet beach, allowing long walks.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rent a motocycle at the hotel or at the car rental service 50m from the hotel, to drive to Senggigi and the beaches on the north. Great views by the northern road!

I would definitely stay in this hotel again. They are starting to build another section to it a few blocks down the beach. It will be interesting to see how that turns out.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It is very easy to hire a boat right in front of the hotel to take you over to the Gili Islands. They are not to be missed!
