slippery steps
the pools, the garden, the restaurants
I love this hotel and stay there each year. This was the first time I booked the Garden View Room. I feel I have to say something about the lack of railings up to the first floor rooms in the Garden View rooms. These rooms are great and I requested a garden view room on the first floor. However for the first few stairs there is only one wall to use to balance on the way up. As it was raining heavily I was quite nervous of going up these steps and didn't come down until much later in the day as stairs are not undercover. The staff very kindly came with extra floor mats and towels to use to dry off the floor and steps.

Luxury hotel
Everything was great
Really perfect stay, everything was incredibly well maintained and beautiful. Staff were friendly and attentive. Spa was amazing. Food was remarkably good value.

Really bad service.
non-smoking pool
I had high hopes for this hotel, but were so disappointed. Really bad service. They are under staffed and poor management. Very slow at the restaurant. Had to ask 4 times to get a towel. And no one at the lobby in the morning when we need to check out, just to name a few of the service issues. They also have maintenance issues. Leaky faucets, AC not working. We had 2 rooms, one room is nice but the other room does not have a bathtub and also no TV, when asked why, they said they can bring a TV in, but the room is so small, there was no place to put it. The non-smoking pool is the only good thing about this hotel.
