I was on my bicycle tuor overnighting and relaxing in this hotel. From the very beginning the front desk and housekeeping staff were really helpful and friendly. The not functioning toilet and safaty box were repaired quickly and in a friendly way. The hotel ares is looking wonderful for relaxing after hard bicycling day in pool area. Excellent breakfast.

Down into serene quiet and dont be put off by the busy lobby.Great views and helpful staff compensate for being out of town.Still the hotel shuttle is helpful if you wish to go to the town centre or bus station .A place for a cool quiet break below the busy water park.Great early morning views of the volcanic cone make up for mid-range food.

The best hotel at Magelang city

The Hotel consists of rooms located in a hilly landmark. It is more like resorts compare to other Hotel that I have been stayed at Magelang. Definitely the best Hotel in Magelang with friendly and professional staffs.
There is an amusement park next to Hotel complex which one of tourists attraction at Magelang city.

A wonderful place to stay. All the employees were very helpful and friendly, the place is beautiful, the rooms are nice and clean. The pool has fun waterslides. :) The main drawback is the awkward location. You cannot get anywhere by walking, and if you try to walk around the property you may have some difficulty, as its buildings sort of cascade down a fairly steep hillside. However, they have their own shuttles for this reason, and are always ready to come get you to take you places--whether just to the hotel restaurant up the hill or into town to an ATM. The hotel will also arrange taxis for you if you want to go farther away (i.e. Borobudur).
Also, there is no internet in the rooms, which is an issue for some...but I believe they have internet services elsewhere (I didn't check this out, though).
Overall, a really nice place to stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I decided to do the Borobudur sunrise tour, which is an extra expense. I asked for a taxi through the hotel, and they gave me the price of the taxi; there is an additional charge from the Manohara hotel (they run the tour exclusively) for the flashlight, sarong and early entrance. I knew it would cost extra but forgot to ask beforehand how much; be advised that if you do the sunrise tour from Puri Asri and have a round-trip taxi (takes you there, waits for a couple hours, and takes you back) it will cost something between 500,000-600,000 IDR total. (The taxi service was 200,000 and Manohara charged 300,000-and-something, I don't remember the exact amount. This is indeed kind of a rip-off in terms of what they provide, but I really wanted to get in before it got hot and crowded, so for me it was worth it.)
