Great new hotel in Medan
Location, opposite Merdeka Walk where the night food eateries are. Shopping malls are just walking distance.

Great place to stay as it is very close to everything ie shopping centres, food eateries, etc. Staff are very professional and helpful. Swimming pool and spa were not operational yet when we stayed there as it was opened only very recently. The room and hotel amenities were immaculate.

Grand Aston City Hall Hotel - Medan
Nice new hotel with 5 star facilities, with no smoking floor facilities and high security at lobby entrance.

Overall I like this hotel facilities, with good view outside and nice room. I choose non smoking floor which no one smokes. The staffs is nice and the food is delicious with wide variety.
This hotel is located in city center which is easy access to Merdeka Walk, Koki Sunda and shopping complex. I will come back to stay to this hotel when I travel to Medan again.
Restaurant Tip:
You can have a fine dining at Koki Sunda. The food is delicious. We also patronize a restaurant at Merdeka Walk, wide selection of food.

Grand Ashton surpasses expectations !
High security, beautiful structure, centrally located and nice toilet fixtures !

Overall, in terms of features, the hotel is 1st class in terms of its layout, cleanliness and high security features. The most impressive is the toilet features (though a little small) as well as the parquet flooring. It give a homely feeling when you in there. The F&B is impressive too with good spread of local food. However, the staff needs to improve their service delivery and the hotel needs to be a little flexible in terms of managing the free breakfast. The hotel should actually allow guests to make use of the next day breakfast coupon (which I know some other 5-star hotel do)on current day. This is especially so when guests will definitely not use the breakfast coupons for the next day as guests will need to leave the hotel very early in the morning to catch the flight.

Good hotel and very clean - Ascot Medan
Staff are friendly. B/f are good. Near the food court Lapangan Merdeka and nearer for shopping to Pajak Ikan about 5-10 mins walk. Room are spacious and clean. Nice view to Lapangan Merdeka or big supermarket across the river.

The staff are friendly and will try to help you where ever possible. The rooms are clean and provided with free internet access. Please bring along your lap top for accessing the internet. Breakfast is really good and there are many choices of food around either chinese, indonesian or western. You can either have your breakfast on the open air corridor facing the Lapangan Merdeka or in the air cond room. The lobby staff also help me to find the taxi to the airport which is a nice taxi, blue colour and only charge me 45K rupiah.

Hotel located in centre of town in front of the famous Merdeka Walk, close to eating places and shopping.

The hotel is new and located within walking distance to shopping mall and the Merdeka Walk, a popular night spot for locals and tourists.
The staff are friendly and always wanting to help you with anything. The rooms are spacious and well decorated with contemporary fittings making it modern and stylish. hotel food is reasonably good.
Restaurant Tip:
There are a good variety of eatery within walking distance of the hotel.

Very happy with my stay. Located in the heart of town, this is the newest hotel in Medan and rated a 5-star. Breakfast in the coffee house offered a wide selection. There is also a Chinese restaurant but I did not patronise the outlet this time. For those looking to eat out, there are food outlets directly opposite the hotel. All the staff were friendly (especially Tomok from the coffee house who had a great service attitude). Will definitely stay there on my next visit.

The hotel is pleasant and luxurious impression. the atmosphere is comfortable and its location near the center belanja.makanannya very nice and helpful officers. I like the shower with rain shower experience. pillow so soft and fragrant. So also with the towel. I see important events are also held here. Means a good reception in the community. But I am disturbed by the smartcard for access to rooms and elevators that only one remedy for each room.

this hotel is new, clean and it located in the central city. The service is very friendly and they treat the guest with smile.

This hotel is located in the city center and not so far from the airport by this time. It is easy to achieve an interest place in the city including Mall and food center. This hotel is equiped with internet service for 24 hours so any kind of bussiness can be conducted and it is free of charge. In front of the hotel there are so many cafes and food center.
The hotel staff treats the guest by the same thing to all of the guests. During stay, I did not see any violence, criminal or drug-related activities. Since I got an information through internet, I decide to try this hotel because there is special rate for 5 star hotel. If I visite Medan I will come again to this hotel

This place was like oasis or paradise in that crowded medan. We just loved this place so much. The staff was excellent, the room service was great (great food!), the breakfast buffet was one of the best, the room was clean/ comfortable/ efficient. What else can I add? It was perfect, couldn't believe the price for this real five star service. Definitely wanna go back if we go to Medan again.
