Nice hotel but the rooms smell of smoke

I like the Hotel, however I accidently book smoking room and was not offered a change of room when I said I did not want smoking room. The room was stink of smoke.

the hotel is conveniently located beside a shopping mall. hence restaurants, shops and amenities were all closeby. the rooms are clean and well-maintained. i would recommend this hotel for business travellers and families with small children.
breakfast was provided with sufficient choices of food for all. however due to the high occupancy rate, the wait for a table during breakfast was long.

We spent 3 days and 2 nights at the hotel and found that there are many places that we can go by walking. One of the most interesting places is Sun Plaza. But the check-in service was very slow, it seems that people there do not concern about the customers' time.
Shopping Tip:
Just walk to the right from the main entrance of hotel lobby and you will see the latest and the biggest shopping complex in Medan.

Check in with Agoda voucher,no problem! The hotels employees are well educated,can speak and understand English. Shopping mall is just downstairs.

Whilst the JW Marriot has gained a strong reputation in Medan, the Swiss-Bell is good second choice. The breakfast has a large enough selection and is tasty. The resturant on the roof top is good and you get a unique view of Medan by night - sounds better than it is.

Have stayed here for a night during our tour of Medan/Lake Toba. We were surprised at the close proximity to Jalan Mojopahit, the street full of Ambonese cakes (Bika Ambon). Also, located just below the hotel, was a shopping centre. You can eat, shop and just laze at the hotel. Walk along Jalan Mojopahit, you can eat the authentic street food of Indonesia like Kari Bihun, Mie Pangsit and more.
Arriving late in the night wasn't a problem. Staff were polite and spoke perfect English. Ordered room service and it was top-notch. Free wifi in the room, though only one user is able to use at a time per room. Breakfast was a feast the next day and complimentary.
Will definitely come back again and highly recommended.
Shopping Tip:
Cross the road and walk 2 minutes to Jalan Mojopahit to buy Bika Ambon.

Choose to have dinner at your own, so many places near to hotel to find good food.. cheap and delicious..

i had a great stay in this hotel. nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we were able to get taxis, drivers, directions from just about anyone on staff. the breakfast is fantastic and a great way to start the day. the location is very near the airport which was good for us.
a great value experience.
