2 times i come to medan and stay in the same hotel. this hotel is very nice and beside the mall.
Travel tip:
when u stay at the non smooking floor dont try to smoke if you didnt want to pay the penalty

The hotel was very nice with a view from all the city. And NeXT to it there is a nice shopping centre
And its only a 10 minute ride from the airport which in chaotic medan is something
To be grateful for.
Also the staff was very nice and helpful and u can book excursions from the same hotel, totally recommend the hotel driver!

i am writing this on behalf of my lovely parents as they are not very well-versed with english.
last weekend, they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary at this hotel. upon arrival, they were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. the lady receptionist was friendly and happy to help. the room was well-upkept, it was clean and cozy. in the evening, my parents went to the top floor restaurant for a nice dinner. it was not over-the-top but the experience was indeed nice.
the hotel has a quite extensive mall downstairs, you can find many good restaurants and groceries. you can even find a nice place to sit and enjoy a hot cuppa coffee. the district has a popular street for retails, you may consider buying some souvenirs there.
overall, i am grateful for swiss-belhotel for making my parents' experience a really good one albeit simple. will definitely come back!

Quite disapointed actually.
Service is not efficient nor friendly.
Breakfast: The buffet does not offer white rice. I asked. Impossible to get it...
Fitness is so tiny. cannot come back to the room with towel.
room may need some small renovation...
Positive: nive view from top floors. Central location and next to shopping mall.

Nice hotel in strategic location

Generally okay except in the following cases:
1. Doorman mistakenly brought my bag to the wrong room (my colleague's room). When my colleague told the doorman my room number, doorman just left my bag at the hotel lobby. I asked Reception's Pak Azari to help. But after 20 minutes, I went down to the reception to follow up. Pak Azari has not acted on my request. I saw the bag just in front of the main door.
2. for three mornings (between 8 and 830AM), someone knocked at my door to get laundry, or to check on something, or just knocked.
3. Looked like only one or two lifts function during breakfast time.
4. Towels and linens were not replaced at times. I complined once to Ibu Maya of the Housekeeping.
