great location and comfortable rooms
it's located within a mall, which makes it easy for shopping and dining

enjoyed the service. one of the highlights, i got to visit the club at 26th floor, where i watched a football game, while being entertained by a live band. one complaint is i found out that the deluxe room was not bigger than the standard room, although slightly more expensive. but turns out only the standard rooms located in hooks are more spacious. so i would recommend to get the standard room located in hooks, to get better value for your money.
Restaurant Tip:
at the mall you could eat at duck king, and have the roast duck on hainan rice.

Very nice hotel with good location. In fact there are only two very high end hotels in Medan, of which one is the Grand Swiss-Belhotel. Directly connected to a mall, so no need to face the traffic and 10 min to major tourist attraction (of the few there are). Liked the pool and the gym as well and the rooms were super comfortable, bathroom amenities were great and luxurious. Big bathtub, etc. Really enjoyed it and have no complaints at all.

swiss belhotel is one of the best hotel available in medan. it is a new hotel with modern design for all the room. the room size is quite big complete with sofa and working desk and free internet connection. the breakfast is included with the room and i really enjoyed the food served. the hotel location is very ideal and i can go anywhere from here. taxis and 'becak' is always available anytime. the most i likes about staying in this hotel is the shopping mall is directly accessible to the hotel. it is very convenient for me to see my business associate in any one of the nice cafe.
Nightlife Tip:
night life is easily accessible from this hotel . If you are looking for night companion or even a beautiful lady the security officer can arrange them direct to your room.

The room apparently was dark, one of the ceiling light was not working.There was too many furnitures in the room.It looked worn out and needed makeover.Hotel don't have tour package for sightseeing.The swimming pool is untouchable during the day.The Wi-Fi served one user only.Connection was slow and needed login.The breakfast served was delightful though.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Insist on metered taxi.Trip to Lake Toba is 4 hours.Other places not well documented.
