it was an awesome stay at grand swiss-belhotel medan- with the mall right next door and abundant food and retail outlets. its close proximity to the airport was very convenient and a good way to avoid the traffic jams as well. clean rooms, awesome service - made my stay perfect. will definitely chose to stay here during my next trip!

Check out Sun Plaza just 10mins walk away - better shopping deals.

I only stayed for one night with my two sister in law. We got a smoking room (only that room available at that time) that still had smoke smells and there's no make up table for us.
but the breakfast was great. But overall we're satisfied with the service.

Great hotel to stay in Medan!
Luxurious hotel with spacious room and modern interior. Right up next to Cambridge Mall, they have restaurant, starbucks and anything.

I was staying at Medan for 2 days for office purpose, so it was not for fun. And I was lucky to stay at this hotel, because the location is right in the middle of the city. I got room on 20th floor at the corner, where it has a 2 giant glass windows/wall, where I had a great Medan view from top, especially at night. They have charming swimming pool on 7th floor. Unfortunately the pool is small, but the whirlpool is big and cool. Because it connects with the mall, I can easily find the ATM and even Garuda airlines' sales office, where I can do city check-in below the lobby. I had dinner at the famous Garuda restaurant, only less than a minute walking distance from the Hotel. And to top all of it, I had a good sleep and breakfast. That's what you only need for a one night stay!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you can, choose room in higher level and in the corner. You'll have a beautiful Medan city lights at night.
