Good Location but poor wifi

Good Location but only i can use wifi at the lobby area.
I registered telecomsel simpati internet by mobile phone but the signal is too bad. I could not use it.
Breakfast is buffet but poor old indonesian style.
This is historical buiding but they seems they don't know how to keep the treasure.

Great location but not too great value

The room that I booked was not as it was shown in the photo. It was very old, shady, and uncomfortable. I have to upgrade to a deluxe room in the new wing with an extra 50usd for 2 nights.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is strategically situated right in the middle of Medan city and the Merdeka walk is just across the street.

Nice central location at the Merdeka Walk, the room was good and clean and quiet, the bathroom a little "poor" and old but clean. Very good for short stay or for business!

this was the place to be in the colonial plantatio
excellent location. this is a famous hotel dating back to Dutch colonial times

Came to Medan as I am working on a book on Dutch colonial heritage, so staying here, albeit shortly, was a must. There is not much left of the old splendour of the place, which was the centre of all social activities of the Dutch rubber and tobacco growers in the area. The location of course is superb, opposite the old post office of 1912 and next to the former City Hall. All in all a pleasant start to my Medan investigations. Have later on moved to the more up market Swiss Belhotel.

kamar udah usang
berkedan merdeka walk...........mudah untuk kekota

kamar usang.............pertama kali datang d tempat kamar d belakang amat.harus berjalan kaki jauh sekitar 600 meter untuk ke kamar
pertolongan petugas kaunter yg mesra dapat d tukarkan ke kamar berdekatan...

lokasi hebat tapi fasilitas menyedihkan

1. air kotor
2. tidak disediakan fasilitas pembuat air hangat dan teh/kopi dalam ruangan
3. ruangan yang pengap dan banyak debu (untuk yang alergi sebaiknya menghindari hotel ini)

nikmati beraneka makanan kecil khas medan seperti pancake durian dan aneka rasa lainnya. bagi pecinta durian, jangan lupa mencicipi durian yang harga cukup murah dibandingkan daerah lain di indonesia. salah satunya ucok durian

Hotel ini sangat tidak sesuai dengan harga yg sudah dibayarkan, kamar hotel yg bisa terbilang tua dan tanpa perawatan, kamar mandi tanpa penerangan yg memadai seperti kamar mandi umum. Lokasinya cukup dekat dengan tempat makanan.
