Hotel close to airport, not bad location

The Hotel is new for the area but not upto expectations of an international traveler. There is no official bar however a beer can be purchased from the cafe or the smoking seats which has a wine bar. This is 1 of the downsides to the hotel which means anyone who don't smoke smells like they do as all has to walk through the thick clouds of smoke which isn't pleasant. Breakfast had a wide choice and always seats available,pool also good.

When we arrived at the hotel in the morning, the check in was prompt & efficient. The room seemd newly renovated. It was small, clean and functional with only the basic necessities. We had a room on the 9th floor and the toilet & bath room was smallish but clean. The morning breakfast spread was minimal and the service at the restaurant was slow due to the large crowd.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There's a SPA on the 3rd level but our numerous attempts to book a slot had been unsuccessful, even with advance booking. Hence, suggest make early reservations.

i visited medan several times for a business trip. today i tried santika premiere dyandra hotel & convention, a new hotel in medan. breakfast and hospitality has reached the standard of santika hotels in many places in indonesia. variety of food at breakfast are typical of santika which i like most. exterior design is showing a modern 5 stars hotels, however interior design is so minimal, stiff and looks a like boutique hotel though a wide bedroom. there's a room for improvement to be a real 5 stars hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Rather difficult to find an available taxi during business hours, a motor tricycle may be used as an alternative.

The hotel is still very new, and very clean. The breakfast buffet was a spread and complete. Internet wi-fi is very satisfying. A few meters away is Hypermart, so it is convenient to get most of the things there.

i dont understand why the doorman/security staffs keep asking to provide his assistance to bring a girl for a 'massage' service to my room. no matter day or night! is this hotel usually serve guests who look for that kind of service?

the rooms are large and well laid out. however it could be much improved if telephone is provided at the bedside and the bathroom. we enjoyed the friendliness and the courthessnes of the staff. if i may suggest it would be good if some seats coulld be provided at the lower lobby as it would enable the guests could wait in aircond comfort while waiting for their transport to arrive.

Great hotel but...

Stayed this hotel for twice, 1st in June and 2nd in September 2012. Each stay was 3Days 2Nights.
It is a good stay so far, but the hotel restricted daily wireless login with different password daily.
My suggestion to hotel Mgmt to provide hotel guest(s) with one password for several days stay in the hotel, which enabling the guest to ease login the internet browsing.
