cheap, quite good location but no refrigerator...

we stayed there for 3 nights from 26nov-29nov 2011 (3rd floor, room 324) and just a minute walk to the 'turnadi tower' from the hotel. the hotel is also near to many eating & drinking places (mostly chinese food) as it is located in china town area which is good if you are looking for food & drink at night.
the hotel is a little far from the shopping street/areas which will take you 15-20 mins to walk to yuki plaza, masjid raya, maimoon palace or matahari/medan mall but taking a taxi/pedicab is easy and cheap only per ride.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Be careful while using the shower! There's no curtain and the water can easily flow out into the room area because there is only one water outlet in the shower (bathing) area.

Good service n nice staff
I love stay there nice and comfort stay. Warm welcome by the staff. Good help from staff when I,m asking about surrounding areas and give a suggestion what to go. Modern interior design and comfortable stay. Tv also have lots of channel to choose. Also have wifi inside my room very easy for me. Value for your money.

Was a stop over stay before flying back after a week in Lake Toba and Berastagi. Hotel met my expectation. However the food stalls at the back of the hotel was a bit expensive if compared to food stalls. And they should tar the road. It is very dusty therefore making it very unhygenic.

I have travelled alone in Medan and decided to have a look at the China Town. No doubt there is nothing much to see in China Town but the My Dream Hotel is a good hotel to stay in that area. The room is quite spaces, clean, and with free internet access. However, my room was located at 2nd floor, where there are function rooms at the same floor. It was a bit noisy when the functions are on. The hotel has the unique colour for the furnitures, which is the beautiful orange. The cafe on ground floor serves good foods and with a very reasonable price. During the night, the street behind the hotel is the hawker stalls. You can try a variety of local hawker foods. I have tried 2 types of noodles and it tasted good.
