the hotel location was terrific about 5 minutes away from polonia airport and few minutes from sun plaza...and about 10-15 minutes from the main city..however, the hotel itself was very old..the carpet was very dirty along the corridor..the room was quite spacious but as i said, very old and worn out.almost everything was too old to be rated 4 star..the lobby was not so welcoming, breakfast was just ok..nothing special..however special points should be given to their very friendly and helpful staff..they even gave us free delicious welcome drinks..overall the hotel does not reflect a 4 star hotel..

had my tv change to flat screen even without asking.
had a lot of complimentary items ie. laundry, dinner, high tea.

If you like quiet and relaxing stay Tiara is suitable for you. But like most old hotels in Indonesia, the overwhelming tobacco aroma can be nauseating. The buffet breakfast is okay, nothing special. The wifi only works on the first night and subsequently only at the hotel lobby.

good interm of service, very friendly staff at the front but the room was okay eventhough it quite an old hotel. its suit for whom who need peace while staying in medan because it located at the quite sreet. good family hotel for mid range budget.

The hotel service was quite good ..
I request for change room at 2nd day .. their service were fast .. and no any charge fees . By the way .. i like the gym n sports facilities.. for relax and for fun also . The swimming pool is clean. Food of the restaurant are very delicious .. especially the 'nasi goreng' .. and breakfast serve in good service with the delicious food ... like this hotel so much.

Good staff, nice room (a bit old)
the location is very close to the airport. 10 mnt.

the staff were friendly, however when we checked in they gave us room with 'twin beds' (we are couple) we have to spend the night sleeping on different bed. just because we booked the room from agoda, there's no guarantee that we got the room with queen bed...not happy at all.

- they can't guarantee to give queen bed. i think if you book from agoda, they is big chance that they will give you room with 'twin room' regardless weather you are couple or not.
- the room interior was a bit old.
