Well, let me just say this - if we take the main road to access the hotel then you will pass a local market that is just so filthy and dirty. There were mildew in the room. They refused to provide iron, but cannot get our laundry done nicely.
The restaurant is old and not too many option of food.

Lovely hotel and superb service
Front Office Staff very friendly & provide all information I requested

breakfast was acceptable with asian taste. rooms was very spacious & internet services via free wifi. i ordered food from my room & the service was good. we enjoyed so much on the entertaiment at the lounge. everyone of us love the karaoke so much especially the friendly hotel's entertaiment group. hotel transfers charged reasonable price as compared to outside taxi. overall, 16 of us in the family enjoyed so much & would certainly come again.

setelah memesan lewat internet dan kami deal kan lewat agoda, oleh saudara yang ada di padang dikatakan lokasinya kumuh karena di dekat pasar, tapi setelah kami datang dan melihat langsung, kami tidak merasakan kendala dengan lokasi lingkungan, karena ternyata hotelnya sangat bersih, baik mulai di lobby, restoran dan kamar. ukuran kamar memang pas untuk berdua, dan karpet yang terpasang kami rasa masih baru sehingga sangat menyenangkan untuk saya yang sekamar dengan anak saya yang masih berusia lima tahun. yang kurang saat terasa masuk kamar adalah ketika bau rokok yang menyengat mungkin bekas tamu sebelumnya, tapi setelah kami mintakan penyemrotan pengharum ruangan, yang segera direspon dengan cepat, maka kami merasakan kenyamanan di dalam kamar, ukurannya cukup luas buat kami, hanya kurang banyak chanel tv terutama untuk anak2.
Travel tip:
dari bandara cuma 45 menit
ke bandara padi jam 5 pagi kurang lebih 30 menit

Saya menginap semalam di hotel Rocky Padang bersama anak, suami dan orang tua saya. Orang tua saya memesan kamar dengan twin bed dan ketika saya memasuki kamar tersebut tidak ada masalah dan terasa menyenangkan. Saya, suami dan anak saya memesan kamar dengan single bed room. Sebenarnya kamarnya cukup bagus, terlebih dengan pemandangan kolam renang din luar jendela. Namu satu hal yang saya amat sayangkan, kenapa ketika kami memasuki kamar tersebut aroma rokok masih terasa, bahkan aroma tersebut terus berlangsung hingga beberapa jam meski AC sudah di nyalakan, sampai saya merasa pusing. Saran untuk pihak hotel hendaknya kamra benar-benar bersih dari aroma rokok. Ya mungkin tamu sebelumnya merokok dalam kamar. Namun pihak hotel harus peka terhadap hal-hal seperti itu, karena tidak semua tamu betah dengan aroma rokok. Namun secara keseluruhan hotel Rocky bagus ditunjang dengan lokasi yang sangat strategis dan mudah mencari apapun juga.
Shopping Tip:
jika ingin belanja kebutuhan makanan, obat, keperluan lainnya hendaknya sebelum jam 9, karena lewat jam 9 toko-toko sudah pada tutup.
