Nice rooms, good feasility, city center badly designed shower door We stayed 1 night at Ibis Solo Hotel and found that it is value for money. Its environment is very well designed and its staff are friendly. The only complaint that we had is its badly designed shower door.
Restaurant Tip : Lots of local food available around the hotel.

pool closes too early at 7pm The hotel is only like 10 minutes from the train station and seems like most locals will know of the hotel so it makes it easy for people who do not speak the lanuage to get to the hotel with any difficulties. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful as it was my first time there. I needed some shopping information and the reception provided me with a map and told me were i could go for my shopping needs.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Overall a good experience.

good location, good service. the room is not so big, just like the rest of Ibis hotels. This hotel is right next to Novotel solo, and share the same pool and spa service. The hotel is new and clean. The service is nice, fast check in & check out. Hotel staff spoke good English & easy to communicate with. You can check out the Spa service next to IBIS entrance door, the spa offer discount to ppl lived in Novotel & Ibis hotels. 'The Grand Mall' is not far away, and all the palace are close by, can easily transport by pedicab there.

Most enjoyable sun-bathing by the swimming pool. The espresso need improvement. City center location, easy access to places of interest and shopping area.
Compact room but well arranged with all amenities within easy reach.
Sunbathing by the swimming pool are great. Full sunshine, wind breeze and refreshing water are well combine. Coffee and snack service make it perfect.
For culinary experience, try the sate kambing and nasi liwet, or "tengkleng" for more adventurous ones.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Observe the typical local life at Batik market "Pasar Klewer". Take the "becak" tricycle or walk-around nearby the hotel.

The rooms are very clean and new and the staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. For the price, it was good value for money. The rooms a little small and the shower cubicle tends to flood and leak to the toilet. The restaurant menu is very limited. We stayed two nights in Ibis Hotel from 6th July to 8th July, 2009 and another night on 11th July, 2009. This hotel is barely a year old and located just next to Novotel, and shares the facilities of Novotel. They have a very nice swimming pool, spa and gym. The rooms are very clean and stylish in a minimalist kind of way. Staff is also very helpful. But I felt that the shower cubicles could have been improved. Also, the food menu was very limited in the hotel.

Great location, good staff and service Small room, expensive taxi or becak (rickshaw) The hotel is quite new, and it is located near city centre and Solo Balapan Train Station. The facilities are great, there are spa, fitness, swimming pool, and restaurant. One of the best hotel in Solo. You can easily find becak (rickshaw) in front of hotel and taxi, in my opinion the price is expensive (compare to Yogyakarta). The room rate is also reasonable with good service. Eventhough the room is pretty small but it is newly furnished (opened in 2008)

Great Location.
Good friendly staff
Nice pool and gym Rooms a little small but managable We arrived early and were made to feel most welcome & permitted to check into our room. The room was new and in good condition, very clean and neat. The room was a little small compared to other IBIS hotels but was managable for a couple. The swimming pool & gym are excellent. The staff catered to our needs and supllied a multi plug when requested. We had to wait quite a while when we call for a taxi (It was pouring with rain) but this was not the hotels fault.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a tour to the two temples close by, they and the scenery were amazing. Go to the Batik factory, you will never complain about your job again.

Very clean rooms. Efficient service staff. Shuttle to airport. Located in the city centre and very convenient to go to places. Good service staff and the morning shuttle service to the airport also make ease for business travellers. I would recommend this hotel to those who needs a nice room to rest after a busy business day.

The hotel has a "15 minute policy": complaints and problems (within their control) etc have to be attended and resolved within 15 minutes or penalties are imposed to the benefit of the guest and generally the staff strive to adhere to this requirement so any issue presented is generally handled very quickly. There was no record of my booking when I arrived and the receptionist said she would track it but seemed more intent on dealing with the other customers so we sat around waiting in the lobby for absolutely ages. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly and welcoming and although the receptionist did not live up to required standards she was an isolated party. The beds were the most confortable I have ever slept on in an hotel. The food was good and portions were large and the restaurant/bar staff offered unsolicited but worthwhile advice on places to visit and worthwhile shopping areas. My family (2 teenagers and their 9 year old sibling)actually considered extending our time in Solo just because of the hotel - so if we are ever in Solo again we will definately stay at this hotel.

The location is close to central point of Solo.
The location is easy to find.
The condition of hotel is clean.
The layout of the room is good.
The room is too small.
The parking space is limited and need to make more space. The location of the hotel is good and the layout of the room is good. The main disadvantages is the room is too small and the parking space is too small and need improvement.
