The hotel is very difficult to reach by car. The road in front of the hotel is a one way street. My driver and I have spent almost everytime a lot of time to get to the hotel.
I did not have a reservation for this hotel and I asked at the Reservation counter for a standard room. They told me they were full and had only Superior rooms availible at higher prices.
Outside the hotel I made a telephone call with Agoda and they could provide me instantly with a standard room at an excelent price (hot deal). Proficiat Agoda!!
The standard room I got was well equiped and everything was functioning.

Just normal hotel with minimum facilities.
The hotel room given to me was bad as the aircondition was not working at room 404. I was anoyed for the 2 days. The last day only they moved me to another room after I requested. I have to stay outside the room all the time for the first 2 days as the response taken by The Hotel staff was slow. To improve staff awareness towards customers complaint.
I feel other ibis hotel services is better than here. Most of The staff here is unpleasant, never acknowledge and very slow in taking solutions to customer or guest complaint. I feel the staff need to be educate on the importants of customers or hotel guests. I have stay at Jogjakarta Grand Mecure which is much better with pleasant fisrt class service.
Shopping Tip : Nearest shopping mall Ramayana is a across the road,

comfortable, clean and well managed
no tooth brush and the hotel should do the pest control regularlly due to there is many ants inside my room. The Aircond is not cold even I complaint to the engineering dept.
I like to stay in Ibis is because is value for money, near to the shopping complexes, easy access, very comfortable, the staff is well train, very friendly and knowledgable. Even though the hotel didn"t provide any tooth brush but it still acceptable and I will stay there if I go to Surabaya again. I have satyed in Ibis Jakarta too. Ibis is my priority if go to Indonesia again.
Shopping Tip : It's near to the Jambatan Merah shopping complex and near to the bus station. Easy to get the taxi's if we want to go any where.

the area outside the hotel is dirty
my room was on the 9th floor. i can see 180 degree view from my window. i can see the Jembatan Merah Plaza and the China Town Arch.
although not a beautiful scenery, it was a spectacular view, especially in the morning when the city was quiet. in the evening with activities of vehicles, taxis, trishaws, passersby, it was noisy. i can see no tourist from this part of the city, only the poor locals, selling by the roadside, soliciting for passengers.
to sum it up, it was an experience, seeing the city, but i think i would not come for the second time.

Street along hotel is crowded and traffic speeds.
My pleasant stay started the moment I got off my airport taxi. I was greeted politely by the doorman with a wide smile and he immediately assisted me with my bags. The receptionist also greeted me politely and also with a smile. She was professional in her attendance towards me and even took the trouble to mention that slippers and toothbrushes were not provided. The staff who assisted me with my bags to my room was equally pleasant and polite and assisted with drawing open the curtains in my room, showing me the fridge and the placement of towels, soaps and shampoos. The chambermaids that cleaned my room were also polite and cheerful and did a good job in making sure my room was clean. Room service was prompt. The hotel staff was only too willing to assist with directions and suggestions.
Shopping Tip : Nice shopping mall across the hotel. Plenty to buy.

The internet price was inviting
Seriously, its been a bad choice to put up in Ibis Surabaya, I had seen and compared the Ibis in Yogyakarta in my recent visit, its total contrast to what I had seen in Yogykt and in Surabaya. I thought the standard will be atleast the same , but unfortunately it was bad in Surabaya, Esp, the Airconditioning in Ibis Surabay was extremly bad and I had 2 horrible nights of stuffiness.
Never Will I introduce this hotel Ibis in Surabaya to anyone or nay friends,
I guess, I have already commented about Ibis in Surabaya,, just read the above, and kindly if possible do changes in your air conditioning...

would have liked more promotion of the buffet upon checkin/online etc. We went looking for a place to eat and could have stayed right there. The buffet looked fantastic
I was pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Ibis. I had read some negative comments about the city in general and was so happy to get out of our taxi at the Ibis and be greeted by a very friendly doorman. Checkin went very smoothly and all were very pleasant and helpfull...The lobby and restaurant decor is very pleasing with an art deco theme, and the flower bouquets were outstanding. I was traveling with my adult daughter and we were both so pleased from the moment of our arrival until we left the next day, as we were in transit...I will certainly stay there again if I find myself in Surabaya.
Hotel Feature Tip : Delicious looking dinner buffet, although we ate ala carte. Would have had the buffet if it had been better promoted.

Very clean, hospitality, good location Can borrow adapter for battery charger. We find a big car for 6 people go to Bromo and the receptionist help us to find a minivan for resonable price. If you want a local food, from hotel, just turn. right then cross the road. walk around 100m. in front of you is the local shopping mall (nothing to see but have a local food here).
Shopping Tip : take 5 min by walk to local shopping mall to find some food or take 15 min by taxi to Tunjungan plaza.

Some rooms do not cool air. Check before opening the room to stay put for customer value as the key value room prices. But the room is not furnished and no special mini bar.
Many people have suggested to stay here. If not ask about the price too expensive. But location is not in the source communities. But tell any hotel details. If deemed overview.Available only in some rooms but not cold air. Some locker rooms and some very cold. We booked 6 rooms all have an opportunity to compare Hotels want it to improve this point straight.
