only if they could provide easy entrance for the handicap guest as the stairs are a little bit high Good location in the city right in front of many mini bus station ,very close to convenience shopping mall and wholesale centre,Hotel personnel very helpful and the best breakfast timing, at all morning almost to noon.good variety of food selection for individual and family stay.Heritage hotel together with first class service.

it is near to shopping centre, red bridge monument and the chinatown. and taking bus is so convenient as the bus-stop is right next to the hotel . the construction now going on in front of the hotel. of course that is not the fault of the hotel and it will be there for a short couple of months only i hope. near to shopping centre, the red bridge monument, and chinatown, and bus stop is right next to the hotel.
check in was smooth and fast. check out was equally efficient. the staff were very pleasant and helpful with travel related information.
the room is clean and the bed very comfortable to sleep on. I wish I can spend another night at the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : bus stop is right next to the hotel.

Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff with smiling faces welcome the guests from the gate till the room door. Close to several historic places such as Jembatan Merah and Ampel Mosque, while shopping malls are within walking distance.. The room is a bit small and sometimes the toilet is a bit smelly when its door is open.. IBIS Surabaya is a right place to stay if you are interested to browse historic places and need easy and cheap access to any places in Surabaya. Any kinds of transportation are available right in front of the hotel, from taxi, bus, small bus (angguna) and becak. Shopping centers are also just a couple of minutes away by walking, even Jembatan Merah Plaza where we can buy things from shirts, bags and batik is just a few meters from the hotel. IBIS Surabaya is really a nice place to stay...really recommended
Travel tip : Angguna can take us to any places we want..Ask the drivers since they will recommend to take other angguna if they think that their agguna takes longer time to arrive to the places we want
Becak can also helpful to reach places and dont hesitate to bargain..

Convenient location
Excellent service Bedding needs replacement. Mattresses well used and too soft. Water pressure on upper floors too weak. Bathroom fixtures lack hand shower spray. Old but refurbished hotel with clean reasonably sized rooms. Staff very attentive and polite. Conversant in English. Good location near only worthwhile tourist attraction ( House of Sampoerna from where free guided tours of historic Surabaya are available ). Opposite Jabatang Merah mall- caters more for locals but supermart stocks usual medicines, drinks. Two good eateries selling local cuisine nearby. Bemos routes near hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Must visit House of Sampoerna and try the two nearby eateries selling local dishes ( Rojak Cingur, Soto Ayam, Satay and Longtong )

Friendly; courteous; clean; nicely refurbished, classic; good food; comfortable bed, cable tv When we arrived we noticed the front of the building was receiving a facelift. However, we were greeted by friendly people and escorted into the lobby. All interior refurbishing appeared complete. Everything was nicely decorated and clean. We were helped immediately by the friendly. Our room was small but comfortable. The bathroom was classic marble, solid, clean, nice shower and lots of hot water. The TV had cable and good reception with many choices. The mattress was of high quality. The AC worked perfectly. We did not leave the hotel for food and even though we paid tourist prices, the quality and taste were excellent. I was hoping for a mini-bar in the room but there wasn't one. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely return to it. The on-line price "deal" was excellent.
Shopping Tip : Lots of nice plants around the corner. We bought some but then could not take them on the plane to Bali unless they went through quarantine. We left them at the airport.

friendly staffs In steamy, dusty Surabaya, this is a nice and very reasonably priced place to stay.
A bit away from the main shopping-area but it doesn’t matter at all. We arrived at Ibis Rajawali Hotel after a very long day from the airport. The hotel room is clean, comfortable, and very well kept. The bathroom is spotless, cleaned with fresh towels. It is simple the best! and you won't find a hotel anywhere that has friendlier staff. The all the time smiling staffs are really nice and always ready to help you. Strongly recommend to those who plan to stay in Surabaya.

Nice rooms with TV with movie channels The view from the room we had was not the best We booked this hotel through Agoda because we were going to arrive late in Surabaya and wanted to be sure everything was arranged and we would have a nice room to relax in. The room was really nice, clean and comfortable especially compared to wat we paid for it. For the same amount of money we stayed in hotels that were way less. Good deal!

Reasonable price and good standards Road in front of the hotel is very busy and difficult to cross. After having stayed at the Ibis in Semarang, it was a little disappointing that Internet service was not available in the room; although WiFi was provided for free in the lobby area.
I asked Housekeeping to borrow a screw-driver and pliers to fix a suitcase problem and the guy actually repaired the fault for me. Excellent service - the only minor fault was that they mentioned a free map of the area but when I asked at reception, they advised no maps were available and they didn't know when they would receive more maps.
Shopping Tip : Large shopping mall in front of the hotel; about 8 minutes walk.

Spacious than other Ibis Hotel in Bangkok, Hong Kong. Have more international channels. I guess they changed the carpet and the fabrics for the headboard and the couch. With walking distance to House of Sampoerna (the only tourist attraction at the moment). Towels are really old; wardrobes are dirty. The hotel is bit north from the centre and only one tourist attraction is closed to it. No shopping at all unless you take the cab ride. Towels are terribly old and yellow that needs to be bleached. Foam mattress is too soft. Rickshaw people outsides the hotel are very annoying. Buffet breakfast has very limited choice. Only suitable for those who needs to visit the banks nearby which you can find many banks in the centre. Never stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Close to House of Sampoerna.

clean, well priced (without breakfast), friendly staffs, easy access to the city. surrounding area is not pleasing in the eye, air con need servicing, took 2 hours to cool down the room, lobby not cozy The location is quite good, despite the untidy surounding where the trishaws, minibus (public transport) base camping opposite the hotel making the road very messy and noisy with private cars honking on the public transports blocking some lanes and not willing to park properly at the side of the street. Price is good. room is clean. good hotel for business trips. lobby not cozy, not very comfortable to chill and have a good drink.

Free car parking in the garage The hotel is very difficult to reach by car. The road in front of the hotel is a one way street. My driver and I have spent almost everytime a lot of time to get to the hotel. I did not have a reservation for this hotel and I asked at the Reservation counter for a standard room. They told me they were full and had only Superior rooms availible at higher prices.
Outside the hotel I made a telephone call with Agoda and they could provide me instantly with a standard room at an excelent price (hot deal). Proficiat Agoda!!
The standard room I got was well equiped and everything was functioning.

Just normal hotel with minimum facilities. The hotel room given to me was bad as the aircondition was not working at room 404. I was anoyed for the 2 days. The last day only they moved me to another room after I requested. I have to stay outside the room all the time for the first 2 days as the response taken by The Hotel staff was slow. To improve staff awareness towards customers complaint. I feel other ibis hotel services is better than here. Most of The staff here is unpleasant, never acknowledge and very slow in taking solutions to customer or guest complaint. I feel the staff need to be educate on the importants of customers or hotel guests. I have stay at Jogjakarta Grand Mecure which is much better with pleasant fisrt class service.
Shopping Tip : Nearest shopping mall Ramayana is a across the road,

Very near to shopping area for textiles and the Masjid Empel area. Can talk a beca ride to the place but do negotiate the price in advance. Food however is not great at the hotel. Room is small size. Can consider this hotel as a low budget hotel is one is not fussy for extras but just a simple place to put up for the night. Service staff are generally alright too.
