Nice and comfortable stay for a short holiday or business trip to rest my head. But if the customer services personnel are more helpful and friendly it will be excellence. Hotel should have more other facilities for kids, like playrooms. Additionally, if there are more choices of food than it will be excellence.

ibis rajawali surabaya is a business hotel. i was a returning customer for the last 2 visits to surabaya city. the building is a bit old but the rooms are well maintained, clean and bright. on peak season, it may look over crowded. the hotel is located on a one-way road make it a bit confusing to find for first time traveler.

Having stayed at other Ibis hotels, I chose this one for a quick weekend getaway. My only complaint is that it is in a difficult location to find and is incorrectly labeled in GPS databases. Other than that, my stay was very comfortable and enjoyable!

surabaya's hotel scene is not exactly a travelers dream. the ibis offers reliable standards and particularly the speed of the free in-room-wifi has improved a lot since my stay here in october last year. very important ! this ibis is one of their first properties in asia and nopw somehow ageing, but the rooms are in good condition and the carpet is new. breakfast better than other 3-star indo-hotels, even has some cheese on offer - a rare sight at 3-star hotels in java. locationwise it is a bit away from the inner cbd, but taxis are very cheap and plentiful. agoda still had the great " stay 3 pay 2 " - deal, whereas the accor website didn't have that anymore, so my booking was made through agoda. if you can get such a deal, the ibis is certainly the best value for money in surabaya.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
be sure to only use the reliable Taxis companies in SBY which are the ever-present Bluebird, Cipaganti (dark red), Express (cheaper fare) and the recent newcomer O-Renz.
