a legend
try the steack at the restaurant
9.3
After an amazing trip to the bromo mount, we came back to surabaya city for a last night in java, and chose the Hotel Majapahit, to discover the “legend” ! yes it is not a modern 5 stars,
But a charming hotel, it is worth coming, the hotel is closed the mall, and the other luxe hotels.
We had an executive room, and we appreciated it ! just great.
I recommend to try their restaurant, they have good steaks for a cheap price, an alternative to nasi goreng.

Great Hotel and fantastic location downtown
Great rooms, nice deco and very comfortable
9.7
the hotel is so well located and very near to shopping malls. the colonial style hotel is very beautiful, with nice fountains in a very huge garden.
the room amenities are great and very comfortable bed. the garden suite comes with a little balcony for tea and relaxation.
Restaurant Tip:
To all travellers, please remember to visit the G-Walk which is a modern looking city of it's own. Heaps of nice restaurants, food outlets and live bands. It's a must to go.

a very old hotel, the building was more than 100 years old. previously was mandarin oriental and change its name to hotel majapahit. attention to details was meticulous, the room itself is very large and very nicely decorated. food served at the hotel was very good.. overall this is a very nice hotel indeed

the hotel is well preserved and maintains its historic charm - the room was comfortable and looked out onto well-maintained gardens. Service is friendly and welcoming.
I would recommend venturing outside for dinner, as the inhouse restaurant is somewhat lacking in food variety.

Beautiful well matained colonial hotel
9.7
hotel majapahit reminds me of raffles hotel in singapore.it is an impressive colonial hotel and has an important history behind it.the rooms are very cozy , clean and the balcony overlooks the garden .the gardens are beautifully landscapped and well maintained and this enhance the look of the hotel therefore it is interesting to walk around the hotel.
there is a spa with very nice decor, the masseur is really good and pricing was quite reasonable .
i would highly recommend to stay in this hotel.i can say it is one of my favourite hotel and i would defintely stay there again .
Restaurant Tip:
The food in the restaurant is good and price is reasonable.

Great Locations, Impressive colonial design!!!
Courtyard, The Lobby, Near to Shopping.

I have a fantastic time staying in Majapahit Hotel, Check-in is swift and easy, Courtyard of the hotel is a timeless beauty. The room suited the theme of it being colonial very well. However the air in the room does smell abit damp and old.
I tried their spa and it is stress relieving (after a sleepless night in Mt Bromo.) I did not try on the hotel foods because opposite the hotel is the largest shopping mall in Surabaya. You have plenty of choices there.

if one is facinated by old colonial hotels, this is a hotel that you want in your collection. it is beautiful in every way. some rooms could need some attention and the location was probably better in the past. the breakfast is amazing. it is very good value for money.
Shopping Tip:
Shopping centres all around
