Nice Colonial-Style Hotel
Great decor, great spa, so-so breakfast
7.7
Good hotel for a stopover if you are in the area. Rooms are clean. Nice Pool. Hotel very quiet at night, but the common corridors are only dimly lit at night. Good for couples, not with kids.

An oasis in the heart of bustling Surabaya !
Excellent staff - very polite and helpful

my wife and i had a wonderful 4-day and 3-night stay at the majapahit hotel. the strongest selling point for the hotel as far as my wife and i are concerned, are the very friendly, helpful and polite hotel staff. the wonderfully manicured gardens and lawns of the hotel were truly soothing to the soul and mind ! i would catergorise the hotel's spa and gym as somewhere between good and excellent. overall, it was an excellent experience and we would definitely stay at the majapahit hotel during our next visit to surabaya. last but not least, with a bit of improvement on the room's cleanliness (air-con outlets, bath towels and sofa pillows, hotel majapahit would definitely be the best hotel in surabaya.

Historic place; Well managed
Great ambiance, food, Spa&wellnes

upon arrival (we returned after a very good first stay) we received a free upgrade to a business executive room. we celebrated a superb newyears eve party. it was realy good. fun and joy all over the place, within the hotel team and the guests.
if you want to absorb a raffles singapore like atmosphere, go to majapahit, it's an experience you will not forget. even if surabaya is not your tourist pick, the hotel itself is an attraction. in peace, quiet and luxury you can disconnect totaly from the bussy city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The Chinese Buddhist temple in Chinatown (get your lucky number there) and the Arab quarters are an interesting trip.

The hotel majapahit was a stunning surprise. Although we had seen photos on line we were not prepared for just how lovely the room and grounds were. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they helped us buy on-going train tickets, finding times, buying the tickets and ordering a taxi to stake us to the station on our last day. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice but this was in stark contrast to the evening room service. There were only 2 things they could provide us from the menu and they were poorly prepared. The hotel would do well to improve this service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The 'red bridge' is a little rubbish, not worth going out of your way for but the area beyond it was great, very friendly, fantastic food at the stalls and beautiful buildings.

Great place to be; Wonderful interior.
Care for detail; Privacy in a very bussy town

this hotel is well situated for shopping in the huge mall at a 500m walk. restaurant indigo is very service oriented. the speed is incredible; if you want to take it easy, order one course at the time. try out the chocolat fantasie of the chef: mindblowing! the interior is remarkable; one can sense the old days in all their aspects. the hotel is well maintained. staff is very friendly and helpfull; wifi is free of charge.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Try out the Spa Wellnes; We took a 3 hour simultaneous massage there. It was the best massage we have ever had; there is no comparison to Europe

Unique lovely hotel and with reasonable price
Reasonable price, big rooms, polite staffs
8.3
the hotel is very unique, it is a five star hotel built on a historical building. the hotel building itself is dated back to year 1910. when we first enter the hotel, we can feel ourselves being part of the history. all the furniture and rooms have been preserved like what it used to be although the hotel went a major renovation back in 1996.
the staffs are very helpful and polite, and the price is very reasonable for a five star hotel. we will be coming back to this historical hotel whenever we are in surabaya. good job.
Shopping Tip:
Very near to the major shopping centre, only a walking distance away.
