Charming and rustic
Lovely architecture
the hotel is well preserved and maintains its historic charm - the room was comfortable and looked out onto well-maintained gardens. Service is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend venturing outside for dinner, as the inhouse restaurant is somewhat lacking in food variety.

very nice garden & very cozy room
i guess it is the best garden of all hotel in surabaya
We spent a lot of time to enjoy the view around the hotel. The big old photo at receptionist table about how was the look of this hotel long time ago, directly change my mood to romantic sense. I my self very interested in history. So, where there is effort to preserve the antique items from the past, i really appreciate it. Well done job by Majapahit Hotel's staffs.

A hotel with a blast from the past
nice spa, good swimming pool, nice food and great location.
If you are into art and history, this is definitely a hotel for you. Majapahit Hotel has managed to preserve this old colonial building and made we feel as if we have entered into a time capsule. I particularly enjoyed the many choices of place for you to eat and you ought to try their bread and the macaroons are so cheap and delicious too. I tried the massage at Majapahit Spa, I enjoyed the ambiance but I feel that the massage could have been better though my wife enjoyed it very much. Javanese are particularly known for their politeness hence no problem with the service where the staff are so friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. It just that we hope for the doorman and the bellboy to be available all the time at the foyer as I can see that most of the time they are not around to greet and help people with the luggage. Other than that, we are generally impressed with the hotel and will definitely coming back and stay there whenever we are in Surabaya again.

Beautiful hotel with old school charm
Beautiful grounds, friendly staff
The Majapahit is a very impressive hotel with beautiful grounds and old-world charm. The rooms are large and spacious and the staff was very helpful. Overall, we had a great stay. Our one problem was the wi-fi, which seems to be a recurring problem. Apparently the walls are too thick for the signal to get through. After the IT guy tried to install a booster in our room (a process that took 90 mins) and it still didn't work, we just started using the business center downstairs. Not a huge deal, but just a minor inconvieniance.

Charming hotel, colonial style
The hotel layout with its patios and gardens is a hit
Very nice hotel, spacious rooms and bathrooms. I loved the patios and the gardens. It is quite and you are transported 100 years back when it was a colony.

arguably the best hotel in surabaya
beautifully preserved colonial architecture, great massage, amazing breakfast
the architecture of hotel majapahit never seizes to amaze me. it's always a wonderful experience staying at a hotel with such a long history. the place is beautiful and well maintained. i can spend hours just sitting in the gardens reading a book with a glass of ice tea. and the breakfast is awesome. small servings but very diverse and exquisitely prepared.

Cozy place with very good and clean room
We have been there with six years old daugther. We chose it as learned from Surabaya history and easy to get around the city. Everything was smooth from the front desk to the room after learning that we were upgraded to suite room without addition paid. The atmosphere was superb! Breakfast was not as expected. Enjoyable to read rooms' name such as Arjuna, Pandawa, so on.

Charming heritage location, perfect for couples
Est. 1910, historical building, great charm
I stayed in a Suite, and this is an experience I suggest to everybody: for a reasonable price a HUGE suite with a private balcony giving direct access to the pool, really amazing. Great charme, but definitely not ideal for business travellers: service REALLY sucks (among other nonsenses they asked me to pay cash for my room service...), food is terrible and the hotel is quite far from the city centre.

nice colonial style hotel
price of the room is affordable , value for money
we have been staying in this majapahit hotel few months ago and it was a great place to stay , different from other modern style hotels. we do love the garden in front of the room , the terrace is there for us to sit down and enjoy the morning or night coffee. the staff are very helpfull everywhere. location to the plaza tunjungan is so near (just across the street within 5 minutes walk) the room is quite big and cozy , bath room size is more than expected. we will for sure come back again to the majapahit hotel for the next visit to surabaya.
