First impression when arrived at the hotel was the design and it's architectures. The garden also well maintain with water fountain surrounding the hotel. It can be found anywhere and any part of hotel.
The services by housekeeping was reasonable fast in term of requesting something.
No hustle during check in and check out

Nice building, very similar with 6 stars Singapore Raffles hotel, except it is maintain at 4 stars standard. Location is good, near to huge Plaza shopping. Only around 600m, 10min walk. The breakfast was not the greatest I ate in Hotel, but was good for Indonesia standard.
My only complain, Mosquito in the room. I book 4 rooms, and 9 of our kids all got mosquito bite on our 3 days stay there.
Shopping Tip:
Plaza shopping 600m, 10min walk.

Hotel with more than just history!
Good location in Tunjangan area
8.7
Majapahit is a gem indeed. I loved the well tendered garden and the architecture of the hotel! It was nostalgic. Apart from the problem of the knob of the fan that broke, I really have nothing but praise for this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable.

Lovely hotel with good facilities
Lovely gardens and friendly staff
7.3
The hotel premises had great views and provide a grand feeling all over. The hotel staff was polite and always ready with a smile. The breakfast was fine and it could have been better if they could change the menu daily instead of having more or less the same food.

Hotel bintang 5 yang bersejarah
9.3

Historic Hotel
Great location, well kept
9
Very historic hotel, built by one of the Sarkies brothers. Great location in Central Surabaya.
The hotel is very well kept, with immaculate gardens. The rooms are big and everything works. However, the tiles in the swimming pool needs to be changed as there are algae growing on them. The 2 restaurants are good but not great. There are many other eating places in the huge shopping mall about 7 minutes walk away. The spa is good with reasonable prices. Will be back if I'm in Surabaya.

A hotel with a blast from the past
nice spa, good swimming pool, nice food and great location.
9.7
If you are into art and history, this is definitely a hotel for you. Majapahit Hotel has managed to preserve this old colonial building and made we feel as if we have entered into a time capsule. I particularly enjoyed the many choices of place for you to eat and you ought to try their bread and the macaroons are so cheap and delicious too. I tried the massage at Majapahit Spa, I enjoyed the ambiance but I feel that the massage could have been better though my wife enjoyed it very much. Javanese are particularly known for their politeness hence no problem with the service where the staff are so friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. It just that we hope for the doorman and the bellboy to be available all the time at the foyer as I can see that most of the time they are not around to greet and help people with the luggage. Other than that, we are generally impressed with the hotel and will definitely coming back and stay there whenever we are in Surabaya again.
Shopping Tip:
Must go to Plaza Tunjungan for shopping or window shopping where everything you desire is there.
