Upgraded and fast lifts. Reasonable priced hotel.

Stayed here for 2 days for business ( 10th and 11th June 2010 ). Upgraded fast lifts compared to the very old, very slow lifts some time ago. Better breakfast now. Fast and good internet speed in my room.

One of the best hotel in Surabaya for businessman
The hotel has a nice lobby, excellent bedrooms, functional rooms even has a ballroom for high class reception, and also has good restaurants (Chinese,Japanese and other International foods).

I have experiences to stay at this hotel as I had already many times staying at this hotel, caused they have a nice bedroom (5 star hotel), good restaurants and located at the central of the Surabaya city. You may have good safety as they have security check and access system by your room key, beside of that the telephone and intercom systems are very helpfull and practice>
Shopping Tip:
This Hotel is close to the Shopping Center like Tunjungan Plaza, BG Junction.

JW Marriott Surabaya is 4 star hotel with 5 star facility. The Hotel not Too Expensive but the service is good.
Restaurant Tip:
the hotel is near the traditional food restaurant that they call "Rawon Setan".The food is very good and one of the best traditional food in surabaya.

This hotel is really great. The security is quite high. Every cars and motorcycles must go through the security check. All visitors must also be checked before entering the hotel's lobby.
The room is good, clean, and tidy. We love the views also. So as the food.
The hotel location is near top shopping malls, such as Tunjungan Plaza, BG Junction, and Empire Palace. The Empire Palace is just in front of the hotel.
Overall, this is a great hotel for your trip.
Shopping Tip:
Using Taxi to Tunjungan Plaza, you must go around a circle. But from the plaza to the hotel is just a few minutes to go. Better go there on foot!

I traved to the hotel with my wife and her family for one night stay they were a few of us, but because they did not fit the middle class Indonesian remit of their usual cliental, they were treated with a certain contempt. This was not the in your face attitude but just an underlying snide contempt.

Oct stay at Marriot Surabaya Indonesia
Everything was more than expected , staff,room, bar etc.

When staying in Surabaya I would recommend staying at the Marriot . The staff was very complete and professional and curtious in conducting the job. The room was very clean and the bed was correct with correct linens.
