Pleasant stay and should have been better.
Hotel was quite old and the amminities need a lot of improvements. They need to make a make over the room but overall it's a nice stay.

Every time i come to Surabaya I would stay at this hotel... It has great rooms , friendly staffs, great food... But this time the housekeeping service was poor, the room service was also poor ( ordered the vegetarian menu but they gave non veg) , and the room card key was a mess! Wish they could fix these issues asap, as this is one of my favorite hotels in Surabaya.

Yes it's my second stay at this hotel among many visit I've done to this city. And you can notice the difference between new and old player in hotel business. The old player would put most of the effort to hospitality because they already established a steady system of comfort & facilities maintenance. Not all good hotels woud make their staffs calling you by your name, which is a small & simple gestures to let you notice that you were knowned & appreciate to be their guest. The room still clean & neat as ever, with no broken or cracked furnitures. The bed & its pillows are still maintaining their duty to ensure you have a relaxing & recharging experience. And yes, for you smoker they still have smoking floor available. The breakfast are great as always, in fact this is one of points that made me come back staying at this hotel. The downside is of course the same as any other 5 star hotel would do...charging too much for internet or WiFi connection. But that's why you have brought your own modem, right?
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There is an hourly drop off/pick up service for those who wants to stroll to Tunjungan Plaza, one of the largest malls in Surabaya. And it's free...

Card for Lift and Room (key card) is very sensitive, need to change several time during 3 nights stay.
Restaurant Tip:
Breakfast in Marriott Hotel Surabaya is the best with full hospitality from the staffs.
