Friendly staffs
Spacious room (junior suite), near shopping centers

My junior suite room was quite spacious with view overlooking the city. Unfortunately there was a tremendous smell in the room, which initially no one knew what it was. Hotel staffs used room spray, which helped only a few hours, and we had to bear it for a day until we found out it was from the air-con. Hotel fixed it, but then it was already time for our departure. What a pity for a nice room.
Breakfast table was simple, but acceptable (for Asians). Breakfast room was nice - spacious with full light, you can see mountain tops far away on a sunny day. We had local friends visiting us and the hotel was generous to offer us free breakfast for them too.
There was a satay "restaurant" (a small simple house) nearby the hotel, which according to the locals and some photos of celebrities eating there, it's famous for their good food. But it's just a "so-so" to me (food quality), and not cheap for such a place - during my Indonesia trip, there were better place with better food and cheaper price.
I saw a few shopping malls in walking distance to the hotel, but we didn't go shopping there.
In general: good place (except the smell), staffs were friendly, smiling, helpful. Nearb eating places and shopping centres. Parking is available.

Short but nice stay

Superior room was quite small and had no window (all superior rooms have no window, this was not stated in Agoda's room info); however with a small sum, we upgraded to deluxe room and everything was fine. So, recommendation: don't stay in superior room (too stuffed), a few $ more (@2) will give you a better quality room.
Hotel's front is a bit "funny" - it's a car park and there's a lift to bring you up to reception floor. But it's no effect to hotel's good services and friendly staffs.

my room doesn't had window. The hotel staff takes a long time when i want to check in by giving excuse that agoda didn't confirmed my booking status to the hotel#howcome??! , the toilet is dirty altough the room quite big for standard room

Tidy hotel, in good location, good facilities

This hotel is tidy, neat and modern. I love the room facilities, its complete with refrigerator and water heat for coffee and tea. They have big wardrobe case to put our stuff, very good for traveler who bring lot of bagage. Also the bathroom is big and comfy. The only thing that missing is that they dont have open air space or public space.
Travel tip:
If you are traveler with children, this hotel might be not suitable because no public area.

the hotel has a vibrant night life and guests

i love my stay here. room is big, shower is great. but everytime I need to take shower, I must call the reception to send towels to my room. for two nights it was very worth staying. close to the city hall, grand city mall, a famous traditional market, river and a lot of traditional food restaurant on the same street. and I got to use my agoda reward points.
Shopping Tip:
close to a lot of plazas including grand city, surabaya plaza and tunjungan plaza but hey, nowhere is too far in surabaya

everyone of us who stayed at the hotel enjoyed the hotel. it was good value for its budget price. the hotel is still new but modern.
1st floor is made for parking lot, 2nd floor is ktv, 3rd floor and above is the hotel itself, with skyview lounge and restaurant on its top floor
room is clean, tidy and the staffs are helpful when there is trouble around
room has aircon, refrigerator n mini bar, lcd tv
just that the food for breakfast is very limited in its choice of variety
