Overall is still the same good standard : clean, pleasant personality from front desk to room service. Newspaper was not delivered daily. Remote control on TV does not have the battery cover. Mercure is a good place to stay. Not only clean and comfortable. Its location is strategic to go to eat out and shopping centres.
Restaurant Tip : Found nice noodle : Mie Tidar and nice local nasi pecel : Bu Yanti.

Good service during early check-in. Though room was not available, they managed to get the room before lunch. Also on the same floor with other family members. It is a cozy hotel. Near shopping and eating places. Access from / to airport is also not difficult and far.

Luxury and well decorated. Good services. Location is far from commercial area. If I have a chance to go to Surabaya, I might not stay at this hotel because it's quite far from the shopping area. The price I got from Agoda does not include breakfast, so it disappointed us a lot.The swimming pool is great and staff is very nice and friendly. Anyway, my friends and I love shopping, so this hotel does not suit us.
Shopping Tip : There is an outlet shop for anyone who loves brand name clothes. It's about 200 metres from the hotel.

Polite staff, lovely breakfast, big enough pool, access to location central, comfortable room. Overall a good impression. Nice "high tea" served in the coffee shop for a reasonable price. Could have had another chair in the room - only two, The cable for the internet didn't work, so had to request one that did. (Since our friend who stayed at the same time as we did had the exact same problem - we wonder if that is a standard "problem"? The music by the pool was rather a noisy bother, and even though we asked to have it turned down, it was still not relaxing to have the techno-thumping going on all the time.We'd prefer if there we no smoking at all allowed in the coffee shop and restaurant. Thank you for the comfortable stay and kind, attentive service. We found your staff professional, competent and helpful. The room was also comfortable, with many helpful conveniences. The location in the center of town is also useful. We think Mercure is doing a lovely job in its service and we appreciated the very reasonable cost as well. If we were to return to Surabaya, we would strongly consider staying there again. Thank you.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We visited both the Surabaya Zoo and the Dapur Desa restaurant in the nearby areas. The hotel staff were very helpful in giving us guidance to finding taxis and identifying these attractions.

Clean rooms, responsive services, friendly staff. Less choice of restaurants. The former Miramar Hotel has now turned into a clean, friendly and compact site offering value for money services to travelers who just need a reliable, convenient lodging. The staff are generally very courteous, flexible, and pro-active in getting what you want within reasons. Check-in and out are surprisingly easy, and the buffet dinners are economical yet sufficiently covered in terms of varieties and freshness.
Shopping Tip : An adequately stocked supermarket behind the hotel, within 200m walk.

Mostly everything about the hotel is great Expensive breakfast at buffet restaurant Hotel Mercure is a wonderful place for R&R. The rooms are clean, hallways have soft elevator music, and lifts smell really good. Food was exeptional and cheap. The room was supplied with the usual such as beds, TVs(50 0ver channels!)soap and shampoo, as well as well as sweets, bottles of water, and toothbrushes. Hotel staff was very friendly, and spa was really good. Coy pond and aqurium were very relaxing (something to do with inner Chi, I think) and security checks made us feel secure. Hotel located in the heart of city. The only thing is that buffet food was expensive. Airport was also quite far away. Overall, lovely place. Four and a Half stars.

close to airport and there is a shopping centre only a few minutes away by taxi. For those who wish to avoid the jam in surabaya, and yet still within the city's centre, you should consider staying at this hotel. It is close to the airport as well as entertainment and shopping centres.
Hotel is clean, and the ever helpful smiling staff made my wife and I very comfortable and relaxed after the long hours in the bus coming from probolinggo(near mount bromo).

- Spacious Lobby.
- 2 entrances for easy car access. - No major concern except check-in waiting time. Location of Novotel Surabaya is quite strategic if we would like to visit malls and other attractions in the city. It is not too far from the airport as well. The security staff are also good to ensure good safety for the customers. Car park is very spacious though sheltered car park will be much appreciated especially during wet period. Waiting time for check-in could be improved especially when advanced booking has been made. Overall room and cleanliness are good. More information on city tour, eating places and attractions could be provided in the room for easy reference. This could include a small map with those information.

Very very clean room, very good price. Cocktail is bad... other than that, everything i like. Compare with other hotels, Mercure has good price and values. Room is very clean looks like just renovated. And location also NOT bad. Only 10~15 minutes drive to downtown and behind of hotel, they have garage for Blue Bird Taxi company, so no need to worry about transportation.
