Pleasant room, very good and friendly staff, upgraded us to a bigger rooms, also we made a mistake in the bookings but they amended it for us complimentary, overall is a great hotel will definately go bac there to stay again.

Great place to stay in Surabaya

as already mentioned elsewhere the novatel surabaya does have a bali holiday feel to it. a graet place to unwind and decouple from the city life outside.
Travel tip:
Has a squash court and table tenis table which I have not seen at a hotel prior to this.

Room is old and carpet has lots of stain.

The hotel is being renovated at these moments, however I think the old rooms are unappropriate and less representative to be rented to customers now because not only the furniture are old and dusty (seems like not under proper care), the carpet also has many smoke stains and other stain as well, some of the furniture and doors also already peeled and the rooms are smelled even though already sprayed by room freshener few times.

Lovely hotel, with renovation project

reservation made weeks before, ci on sunday 25 march 2012, at 09.00 am. the room are not available, while i am ci actually there were big bike group co from the hotel ( about 70 rooms according to the bell boy )
i have to wait until 13.00 to get the room ( waited for 4 hours )
i got room 220, new renovated room, room were nice. but i could not take a rest, the rooms next door were under renovated, there were banging and drilling the wall which really disturbing .
the pillow were not nice, it's hard, and the shape is not common.
Travel tip:
Please do not put the guest next to hotel project, it's really disturb by the noise.
He he he , there is no apology either.
