Friendly Staff. Nice swimming pool. Suites a very nice. When staying in the hotel suites the hotel was very noisey. There were two consecutive events held outside next to the swimming pool and the music from the live band was loud. Exceptional service at this hotel. I recommend staying in one of the suite rooms which offer plenty of space and a reasonably large balconey. The amenities, such as the pool, were very good during the day however in the evening it becomes a venue for loud parties - two consecutive nights, Saturday and Sunday.

The staff - friendly, courteous and helpful.
The pool. Rooms are not sound-proof.
No iron.
No hair dryer.
Kind of out of the way from town center. The hotel itself is pretty good. The staff are probably the best assets that the hotel have. Almost everybody is very friendly, ever willing to assist my needs, answering questions and most definitely courteous.
But, my biggest complaints would be internet access and the room is not sound proof.
On the 3rd of May, there was a private function by the pool side. The music was just too loud. Luckily, everything stopped by 10pm.
Shopping Tip : For those who like to shop for Female Muslim Attires, Plaza Jambatan Merah is not bad. Ampel (some call it Kampong Arab) has more choices and probably cheaper too. Make sure you haggle with the prices. But, be reasonable though.

clean rooms,landscape was well kept. The service in the restaurant was really helpful and nice. The minute we were dropped off the hotel, the bellman was trying us to get us to rent a car for the day and it was 70 US a day. We told them we are taking taxis(full of meter taxis station by the hotel) the bellman said oh, very hard to get taxis back. The Hotel is away from everything else and you do have to take taxis everywhere. Beware Taxis never have the right change for you. We usually pick Novotel to stay when we are traveling and we have stayed in numerous ones in Asia, but this one in Surabaya was a disappointment. As soon as we told them we are not renting a car, the service by the front desk fell flat. They couldn't tell us where a travel agent was located, and we finally realized that it was just next to the hotel. They couldn't help us in any information at all. We felt that the front desk and the bellman was very rude.

the hotel is a very good value for the price. i found it quiet, clean and well located, convenient to the airport and the consular district. the wireless service is a bit costly by indonesian standards, and doesn't work well outside the main lobby area. overall, the hotel is a good value, and was available on shorter notice than many of the other surabaya hotels on the site. the room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom, as well. the pool area is beautiful. the restaurant looked quite nice, but we didn't try it. there is a carrefour quite near for basic food and provisions. it was easy to extend for an additional night and at a very reasonable price.
Shopping Tip : the nearby carrefour has a wide variety of prepared foods and just about anything else you might want or need. it is walking distance, only a few hundred meters.

nice garden, perfect swimming pool. Very good breakfast. Nice room, very quiet. It is a very pleasant hotel. When I come back in Surabaya I will book this hotel again.

--Excellent, affordable breakfast and dinner buffets.
--Outdoor pool is great with slide.
--Kid Friendly atmosphere with a good playground. --Wireless internet is slow and I was logged off and on several times by the server.
--Business Centre is adequate, but a concierge would be a nice addition to the hotel's amenities to help guests with tours of the surrounding area. The Novotel Surabaya Hotel is a great value for a hotel in the area. The overall service is good, and the buffet was open late and the food was always fresh. Despite the lack of concierge, I used the hotel's driver service to take two tours to Mt. Bromo and Murapa. I enjoyed both tours and the driver was a great guide around the area.
Hotel Feature Tip : Wireless Internet Service is weak in some rooms, but I got a stronger signal in the lobby. Take your computer to breakfast if you want to surf the internet.

Swimming pool, kids pool, restaurant and the staff. The room was very comfortable and spacious. My kids really enjoyed the kids pool with it's slide which for kids standard is very exciting. In front of the hotel was a taxi station which was very convenient for us to get around. The staff there are very helpful and overall it was our best getaway holiday.

The hotel staff is very helpful, but it seems they never get booking from Agoda, so my booking seems difficult to find. They have to contact headquarters (not sure whether Jakarta or Paris), to make sure about my booking. But while they made the confirmation they have prepared my room.
Unfortunately at that time the hotel is a bit full booked, and I got the non-smokers room that close to train railway. But I can still rest quite well.
Hotel Feature Tip : Guests that looking for total trainquility can request rooms that are close to the lobby.

After two nights you want to sweep the place to clear out he cobwebs. It's OK for a night or two on business if you're not particular about how the rooms smells. Novotel and Accor can do better!
Shopping Tip : A quick walk or ride away is a big Carrefour hypermart where you can stock up on extra fresh food, wine and liquor, and traveler's needs.

eating and swimming pool, beautiful rooms there was throughout the early morning quite heavy work in the inner courtyard and the gardens andthe sound was hard to cut grass etc. it was a pleasant hotel, with the arrival everything was free of stains in check etc, the room looked reasonable, but I am in the early morning wake up because it was drilled in the room next to me, did the front desk 3 times as requested they do not work later in the day were seen carrying a long trip back was around 11.00 am to the front desk went and got a call requested by the manager, took a while but have been beyond words, and I have my complaints show and I helped clean it and have the veronschuldigden accepted were neatly upgegrade prosecute it to a higher grade that I had made and the w was a suite, they thank them very much, if I go back to Surabaya, which is likely to be fast, then I think about it to stay there again, but have a few months ago at your hotel in Surabaya mathjepaijt called the progress that was really worth in a 10 score in a word fata substantially, thank you for it .
