Its a great hotel, the buffet breakfast needs more variety though for a 4 star standard.
Rooms were spacious and cosy, very comfy. The only letdown was the shower tub, water gets stuck in it and my bath was very unpleasant as a result. Overall, good hotel.

Easy to get room service, we have a great time with out family member because the hotel located in the middle of Surabaya city.
Restaurant Tip:
if you want try more taste of Surabaya"s food, you can go across the hotel , in Surabaya Plaza Mall that always have many restaurant that sell a lot food ( rujak cingur, tahu campur, nasi goreng merah etc.)

Good for seeight seeing and shopping

Good hospitality of the front office made us easy to enjoy our stay in Surabaya. They are very helpful and accomodative so that we got two rooms with a connecting door. Rooms are at a perfect size and comfortable. We were also happy that could enjoy our evening in the mall with tasty food and a simple shopping. It was also easy to have our transportation from the hotel to the airport next morning.
Shopping Tip:
There is a submarine museum just in a walking distance from the hotel (that we missed du to time shortage).

Good central location but poor rooms

Last year booked this hotel also and this year tried the Junior Suite instead of Standard room. Rooms were not clean and had to ask for new towels every day. Breakfast is very poor (limited choise. No windows in room and noisy due (till very late) to next door karaoke bar.
No English speaking staff. But the majority of staff friendly.

I had a pleasant stay at the Surabaya Plaza Hotel, everything I needed was within reach and short walks.
I would however suggest that, if you wish to have the guests dine in the restaurant/cafe at the hotel, you should consider a lower price list.
Shopping Tip:
You can find almost everything you need near the Hotel, from fancy restaurants, cafes, art gallery, to home appliances. Transportation is easy to find.

lovely hotel and service with a smile

The overall staying exeperience was excellent, my grand children love it, nevertheless the breakfast buffet needs little touched up. Bubur Ayam was too salty but the bakery were good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is greatly located at the city center and nearby shopping center, railway station and sightseeing spots.

There is one smoking room at 1st floor. We had extra bed, but enough space. Breakfast is from 5 a.m. It is good. Bussines center is available. Printing can be done there.

no complaints about this hotel. this is the third time i've stayed here and i would stay again. good location near plaza surabaya mall. breakfast is good. pool is outdoor and huge! and the water of the pool isn't too cold, i enjoyed swimming in it every morning. we arranged airport pick up through the hotel and they were there waiting for us when we arrived, very convenient.

I realize, when one is a first-timer in any city, the best thing to do is stay in a hotel that is near a supermarket or a coffee shop or a deli. THis hotel is across the Convention Center and yet there was music blasting all day from behind the hotel, I don't knoe where it was coming from; the bathroom tub had stains,and there was no food place in sight. The menu in the coffee shop was mostly Indonesian, so it is not friendly to foreigners, not even a club sandwich or grilled cheese was in the menu. I shortend my stay and transferred to another.

Nearby is a big Mall, still many shops are emty because it is new, but although that already many nice shops and a good foodcourt.
