Comfortable and near Malioboro street

like every ibis hotel in other city,
the room is clean and cozy.
no problem with the ac and water. and it's really nice because the building attached with shopping mall. the location is superb! on the main street of malioboro. i always like to stay here again and again.
Shopping Tip:
A long Malioboro street, you can see so many souvenir seller. Try to bargain half from price they offered you. And be careful with the materials, sometimes so cheap and fragile. Better go to shops, more expensive but better quality.

we had a nice stay at ibis malioboro. though it was only a two nights stay, we can still experience the excellence and kind service shown by its staff. even thought the hotel was not a new one but the facilities were quite well maintained.

The room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed. The toilet was clean with amenities. The staff were friendly and with a big smile. The breakfast was good. Free wifi, but only for 6 hours per day. Conjoining the hotel is a popular shopping mall, Malioboro Plaza. Across the road is a long stretch of individual shop lots, more than 50 of them. The hotel is a walking distance to a lot of tourist spots nearby.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Visit to Borobudur.
This famous Buddhist temple, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, is located in central Java. It was built in three tiers: a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces, the trunk of a cone with three circular platforms and, at the top, a monumental stupa. The walls and balustrades are decorated with fine low reliefs, covering a total surface area of 2,500 m2. Around the circular platforms are 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha. The monument was restored with UNESCO's help in the 1970s.

Nice hotel, good food and great hospitality. Even the price little bit expensive compare to Hotels in Jakarta but I think it worth with facilities, and the location.
Easy access to restaurant and mal, but quite far from airport. It is only about 700 meters from traditional market where all the goods are very cheap and good quality.
Shopping Tip:
If you need to find merchandise or handicraft, dont buy it in seller along the way malioboro. Just come to traditional market Bringharjo, cheaper!

We stayed for 6 days and had a wonderful time in Jogja. Had enough time to see all the interesting places. The central hotel location is ideal for food and shopping. The hotel staff is also very helpful as they were very willing to assist in imparting any local knowledge which is a great help.

Being a lone female traveller I find it a safe area. The mall next door is convenient for a quick bit of food.
I spent most of my time at the local market about 5 mins walk away from hotel, sells a good range of batik fabric, shirts, sarongs,both in cotton and silk, prices much better than shops along Maliboro but have to bargain.
Took a berchak ( trishaw ) ride for over an hour in the early morning around 7am when all the shops are close and it's nice and cool around Jogya for 10,000 rupiah ! The berchak are parked in front of hotel with Ibis hotel. He took me to a couple of batik shops that opens early and the prices were reasonable.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Spa at hotel not to bad, body scrub was good but the facial was bad.

Overall we were happy with the services and the room was big. It was very convenient as there was a shopping mall next to the hotel.The staff were friendly and helpful.
Location was great as it on a main street with all the local handicrafts shops along the street.All within walking distance.
However, the room cannot access to wifi, I have to go to the lobby even though they stated there was free wifi every floor.
Restaurant Tip:
There were plenty good and cheap food shops in the mall.
