Superb Location, next to the Malioboro Mall. The service was excellent, including check-in service and housekeeping. The rooms were clean, towels replaced daily and the TV channels had fantastic choices for selection. Two free bottle of water was given daily and free wireless internet in the lobby area The furniture and fixtures in the room is in dire need of refurbishment. The cupboards and side tables looks worn out, and the cupboard door of the room fridge could not close properly. The rooms that I had, also did not have a good view from the window. Breakfast was not included in the room rate and quite expensive if paid separately. Our family of four stayed at the IBIS MALIOBORO, Yogyakarta from 23rd till 28th July 2009.This was our first visit to Yogyakarta and we were looking forward to our holiday. When we arrived at the hotel, we were well greeted by the reception service personnel. Although we arrived early, before the official check-in time, we only had to wait 15 minutes...and our rooms were ready! We could easily eat breakfast at the adjacent Mall, which is cheaper than to eat breakfast at the hotel.There is also a spa at the hotel, but did not try it because the prices were quite expensive. Transportation was not a problem, because at both the hotel and the Mall entrance, one can easily get a trishaw or taxi.
Shopping Tip : You can easily shop at the adjacent Malioboro Mall, itself which includes the Matahari and a supermarket at the basement level. There are two bookstores in the Mall and Two hair salons. The Hotel itself has a drug store and a fashion outlet

good location, easy access to attractions in downtown Yogyakarta room facility is relatively simple and old Very good location in main street Maliobolo and close to sosor street where lots of budget GH and Lesmon and travel agent there. Easy to book borodudor and prambana tour. not very far from Suthan palace and taman sri. 30 minutes far from airport by taxi. recommended.

The hotel is strategically located at the Malioboro area and connected with shopping mall.The hotel provide value for money in term of facilities such as clean and spacious rooms,health spa and the entrance slightly hidden from main Malioboro St which is very busy most at the times.The location of the hotel is only few minutes away from airport and Kraton(Palace).There are few 24hrs convenient store near the hotel. Overall the hotel rate is very reasonable.
Nightlife Tip : Street performers performing musical piece at the main Malioboro St.

Ibis Malioboro is very strategic hotel. Also it's nice hotel, comfortable and they're welcome. This hotel have connecting door to Malioboro Mall so we have special access to Malioboro. This is the selling point. Yes, this hotel like home sweet home, simple ,friendly and comfortable. Just need to improve the parking area. Because Ibis Malioboro is the favourite one, so there will be so many cars will park for check in to this hotel. Bravo! I went to Yogya by car from Jakarta. I also bring my wife and my daughter. So, we spent one day to Yogya by car. After arrive Ibis hotel and I show the voucher hotel book by Agoda, I can get my room. Easier. The hotel room is clean, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull. After take a rest then we go to malioboro through the connecting door. Just walk. We can walk to Beringharjo traditional market, when we walk we can feel the Yogya atmosphere. Amazing and good experience. Thank you Agoda! Nice to book from you. Next time I will contact you again.
Restaurant Tip : For dinner, you can go to Lempuyangan area. There's nasi bakar. Delicious and unforgetable. For relaxation, you can walk to Beringharjo traditional market and buy oil massage or candles aromatherapy. They will serve you with smile and warm. Lets try it and you will havee fun time!

Great location with free wifi The hotel is right on Maliooboro street and is connected to a shopping mall. It is quite handy as everything you need is only nextdoor! Maliooboro street is the busiest street at night in Yogya with small shopping carts/shops along the street.
Free wifi provided by the hotel is a big bonus for the hotel.

best location, taxi stand at entrance ,connected to mall no internet in the rooms,small pool,slow lifts,expensive hotel car rentals Excellent location right in the centre of the shopping hub the hotel is connected to Malioboro mall where u can find JCO donuts MCD Pizzahut mahatari department store and many others .Good breakfast with a lot of choices.Taxi stop area in front of the hotel.Nice standard room that is clean, good TV selection .The staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful.Complimentary 2 bottles of mineral water everyday .we enjoyed ourstay at Ibis would love to visit again

Mineral water was placed in Bathroom. I was expecting a better room because it is IBIS but to tell the truth I find the room too small. We also have to ask for a hair dryer which is a standard item in most hotels. But what scared me was when your staff had difficulty opening safe deposit BOX NO 9 where our passports were kept. Our flight was due in 3 hours' time and had they failed to open it, it would have been a disaster for me. Please check that all your safe deposit boxes are in good working condition before allowing the guests to deposit their valuables.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can take the Transjogja bus No 1A to Prambanan Temple for only 3,000 Rp. There are 2 stops along Malioboro Steet and both are less than 1 km away from the hotel.

One of the most convenient hotels I ever stayed as it is directly connected to the Malioboro mall?
Ibis icon left me a very positive impression because our room was clean, neat and the corridors always have very good fragrant smell. Taxis, becaks are always on standby outside in case you want to go other places. Most importantly, this hotel seems like the most prominent landmark on Malioboro street. Room staff and lobby staff rather friendly, bringing out the Javanese traditional hospitality. Though there was supposed to be free WIFI at the hotel lobby, the internet connection was bad. Tried at around 10pm-1am when lobby was pretty quiet but still very slow. Gave up surfing after 3 days. Rooms might be considered small though just OK for 2 persons. Overall, a very good hotel deal. Convenient, clean and very safe. the hotel brings out a class that is superb, very value for money, class and satisfaction. Surely, there are many cheaper motels in the vicinity, but this Ibis hotel makes up for its convenience, security, cleanliness and pleasantness. If you need to surf with your laptop or notebook, a lot of cafes in the connecting adjacent Malioboro Mall can help resolve this need, so there should not be much to complain about this hotel after all.

The room is spacious and neat. Very clean toilet. The toilet to the left of the lobby, either the door is a sliding door or remove those pail on the floor as it is too congested and as it needs movement. The location of the hotel is perfect, shopping, dining and central. The staffs are very helpful and curteous. Will recommend to friends, if need arises. The side door to the Main Street is an added advantage to shopping. Security is good.

very good location. A shopping mall is just next door. Staff also nice and helpful. There's a tap leak in the bathroom. I think the hotel is very good in terms of a location since it is in the very heart of the city. It should be a perfect place for a shopping lover.
The hotel is not a very new but clean and safe.
Take a taxi to airport cost around idr30000 but if you want to save money you can take a bus no.A1
THe bus stop is a walking diatance from the hotel.

Good location as it's connected Malioboro Mall which is easily to find food and shop.
Room is very roomy and clean. Staff is helpful. There's some toilet smell near the lift. It is very easy to go traveling as it has an air conditioned bus-stop near the hotel. So, you can catch that bus to Prammanan and Borobuddur. I like this hotel as you can dine out at the food shops in Malioboro Mall and shop for souvenirs at the stalls in the front along the street all day and night.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You can take the air condition bus in front of the tourism office (near the hotel) cost 3000 Rps. to Prammanan and to Jambol Station where you can take another local bus to Borobuddur. It's quite fun and a bit advanturous. But it's worth doing.

- The massage service in hotel is excellent. - Though the hotel is located in the centre of the shopping area, the goods choices are limited. Cannot compare to shopping are in Thailand.
In short, we are satisfied with the hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Love the food in the hotel especially the Indonesian local dishes in the hotel. Just do not like the location of the hotel. The surrounding area seemed to be quite dirty and messy. Enjoyed the trip to Borobudur, Prambanan, Kraton and Dieng.
